First of all, our congratulations go out to everyone who has been approved in the month of January, especially nice to see those who have been waiting 5-6 months finally getting their NOA2. :) Naturally since we applied in December we have been keeping a very close eye on the frequency of the approvals coming out of the Service Centers in January. It's really hard being apart and Christy is planning to come over to the UK in March/April time and this will be her 5th visit here since 2004. We are very much itching now to get on with our lives together and looking at the amount of approvals for January from both Centers this is likely to happen over the next few months for us.

We filed at Vermont, traditionally it has always been the faster Center but more recently it slowed down to such an extent that only a few petitions were being approved every week. Now it seems to have speeded up again which is really encouraging for us and we hope it continues. Just want to say thanks to all those people who have written to their Congressman, Senator etc about Vermont because we believe it has had a positive impact. Not only have you tried to get your petition approved after waiting for an extremely long time but it seems to have had a knock on effect with other petitions. Those who are still waiting after 5-6 months, we feel sorry for you but at the same time disappointed how the USCIS can take so long in looking at a few pieces of paper. Seems to us the whole US Immigration procedure needs a good overhaul to try and make the process more efficient and effective.

Lets hope the Centers can keep the rate up for the coming months. Good luck to everyone on this journey and we hope to see you all make it to the USA in the future :)

Hey, good luck with your process. The good news is Vermont has had their best week in processing since March of 2008 according to Igors list. In talking to the senator's office this week, he said that Vermont was working on "catching up" to California - I am sure everyone's emails, letters, and phone calls helped. My senate office was well aware of the Vermont issues. He explained they were having technical issues with their computer system but it should be resolved now. Let's hope they keep it up and pump out some more NOA2's!
