The only thing I left in the NVC is my hubbys 2X2 photos, we keep sending them and they keep sending a paper with a link with the photo specifications. It seems like we followed them. But they keep returning them. Can anyone help? Has anyone been through this. We make sure o write the name and the case number and they arent accepting them.

Thanks!

There are a couple reasons this could be rejected... most places make the correct kind of photo if you refer to them as "like passport photos", white background, mainly just the face and neck in the picture... one other reason they are sometimes rejected is the writing on the back is in a regular pen not felt tip or pencil.. other than that, I would call them and ask if none of that seems like that could be the issue.

We used regular pen but next time im using pencil because how about if the pen that I use (felt or what not) is not politically correct ;). Lets see. I just cant believe they would be so strict on something like this. Ive been in NVC since August2008 and my case is from August 2007. It's ridiculous. Good luck ladies.

I used a regular pen(was going to use a fine tip Sharpie but couldn't find one and just wanted to get everything mailed out). I was very careful though to not press too hard so the writing was not visible from the front. Our case is complete with NVC so I guess it was OK.

I just looked this up the other day for someone else in the thread below, it says felt pen or pencil - I can't find the instruction now though (come to think of it, it was probably the I-130 instructions) - I would use pencil.

Actually, you know what I would do if I were you? I would call NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor and ask them what is wrong with the photos you have already submitted. The operator who picks up the phone doesn't know much more than you do, since you have the RFE already, so the supervisor is who you need to speak to now.

Good luck.

The instructions for the I-130 state to use pencil or a felt tip pen... I assume the photo requirements would be the same.

C. A passport-style color photo of yourself and a passport-style color photo of your husband or wife, taken within 30 days of the date of this petition. The photos must have a white background and be glossy unretouched and not mounted. The dimensions of the full frontal facial image should be about 1 inch from the chin to top of the hair. Using pencil or felt pen, lightly print the name (and Alien Registration Number, if known) on the back of each photograph.
