I'm march 8th too! I certainly hope they do. I remember reading last week that you couldn't get information on your recalled petition even though it had been sent back ages ago. Did you ever find out if it was received? NVC kept telling me they had no info on mine which made me very nervous!

Yes I did, I was able to get through via phone to Vermont and they verified that they received it June 1st. A day later ( on my third email to/from NVC) NVC confirmed that they had sent it to Vermont. How strange it is

So now I better find the answer to the question I guess will be on the RFE since it was on the draft 129f: Did you meet your finacee or spouse(<--------huh?) meet through the services of an international marriage broker? If you answered yes, please provide the name of the marriage broker and where the international marriage broker is located? Wonder if I will need a waiver? we met on a dating site.

To my knowledge yahoo personals and the like are not classified under Marriage Brokers. A Marriage Broker is a business where paypent/fee is received from the USC to have access to the foreigners listed with them for the sole purpose of finding a spouse.

Also note...Q18 of the I-129F where it asks, where did you meet. It is referring to when you met in person, as this is one of the requirements of this form, that you had to of met in person within the required 2 year period. For that question, having met online is of no relevence.

And I just gotta say

They have a domestic broker exception, so if you did meet through a website and it did not have an international purpose, then you wouldn't qualify. However, if you met through a filipino or other-country oriented website, you probably will. (The act is meant to target relationships arranged internationally-mostly mail-order)

Yep......I know you were refering to Q19.......I was just also adding to note Q18 and how this should be answered in relation to the other.

As to Q19, it is not specifically asking for a street address. I imagine that country, web address and perhaps even contact details would suffice.

You prolly won´t get an RFE, and may be going through security checks so you just have to keep calling them, or your senator and waiting for an approval. Good luck!

No, this law affects you as it affects everyone after march 6

It does affect you - it affects anyone who filed AFTER the law took effect on March 6. You'll get a request for evidence (a form to fill out some information and sign in order to comply with the new law) and that will be it.
