According timelines on the site VSC is working with August's and September's filers. Be patient and wait for your turn! It's hard, but there is nothing what we can do..

Good luck!

ITs not that long if you think of the benefits after the wait!! :) HAPPINESS!!!

IT TOOK 157 DAYS BETWEEN MY NOA1 AND NOA2, VSC though may speed up and approve faster, but also they could slow down. It all depends on how fast their employees work and how many Petitions there are waiting!

good luck

Becky. VSC quote 9 months to cover their backs. You will likely find the NOA 2 will take 5-6 months and then there is the additional time on top for forwarding to NVC and then onto the embassy.

Sadly it is a wait situation. We all understand how hard it is to be apart from our loved ones. And can appreciate you miss your fiance. But there isnt a lot that can be done unless you fall under an expedite situation.

Lets just do some hoping that VSC hurry up and approve those people who submitted their petitions before us November filers......

It'll be over soon, and you and your fiance will have forever together :-)

On the USCIS website it also states that this is as of 30 Nov 2008, so I take this to mean that as of Nov 08 they were processing April 08 applications - so 7 months. Correct me if I'm wrong! Hopefully they will update it soon for 31 Jan 2009, so we can see if this has improved or not...

Here's my theory on why some applications get processed so much faster than others:

Imagine 500 applications spread out between 5 USCIS workers, where each one gets apps ranging from Sept to Nov. One of them is really fast at her work. One is really slow at his. The other three work at an average speed. The fast worker gets through her entire stack of 100 apps in 1 month. That includes the few that were in that stack from November. The slow worker gets through his stack of 100 apps in 5 months. When the fast worker was working on November apps, the slow worker was still on September apps. Hence the difference in peoples' wait times.

This came to me while working on my team at work, when work was divided amongst three of us. I finished in a month. One person took a few months. One never finished at all. People work at different paces. ::shrug::

With that theory, I hope my petition is in the stack of the fast worker!

November 25, 2008 - Engaged

November 25, 2009 - Married

November 24, 2011 - Baby due!

Yeah i think your theory can b accepted...logically it is sound...

I wish the slow workers will understand how hard waiting is ...especially when you long to b together...

I hope mine also falls into the hands of fast worker....

Best wishes..

If you fill in your 'timeline' you will get a VJ estimate of when you're likely to be approved, but its taking roughly 5-6 months at the moment!

Hi I have a odd crazy. My fiancee and I are going through the visa process with the K1. I noticed in your timeline in one part it says "touched". What is "touched".

Thanks,

J&L

If you look on https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/caseStatusSearc...11764bw41wReJ_r , and inter you Receipt Number and select the Service Center that has your petiton . What timeline it says there , is how far back USCIS is ( how far they are behind processing ). But the Petitons are processed in the order they are recieved , so your petition may be complete about a month before that time . To about 1 month after the timeline says , that is the 60 days USCIS is talking about .
