Hi guys!! I just wanted to say hello to all of you folks up here on VJ. I must confess that I have been reading up on this board for several weeks now, and I finally decided to go ahead and register because I will be be beginning the I-129f process the 2nd week of July!! I AM SOOOOO EXCITED! :) I hope that you guys will be able to help me out along the way---after reading alot of your posts, it seems like such a daunting task, but as I've come to realize over the past year, I would do ANYTHING in this world to be with the one that I (L) !! Nothing is too great or small!! So, when I actually get to rolling on the paperwork, I'll let you guys know. I've already downloaded some forms (although I think I should wait to download the I-129f since they are redoing it soon). I've also begun collecting items such as phone bills, cards, pictures, plane ticket receipts, hotel receipts (my travel agent even went through his old stuff to help me out!! Thanks Chip! ;) ), passport photos, birth certificate, etc. AND I'm practicing filling out the forms correctly...If this sounds a little #######---it's because I AM!! LOL!!! I just want everything to be right so there are as few problems as possible!! Thanks for letting me blab, and I hope to get to know all of you better!! Good luck on your journeys!!!

goodluck to you as well... i hope this journey wouldnt be as much of a task to you as it is for us right now... but just to let you know, despite all the sleepless nights and anxiety attacks (maybe it's just me) the end result will be all worth while. :) im sure anyone here would be knowledgeable enough to help a new member out.

If I had known of VJ years ago when I filed a K1, I would have saved a lot of money on an attorney and had a lot more support along the way!

Good luck on your journey, and welcome to VJ. Hope you K1 is quick. And I'm sure you'll find after you get into it it's not as scarey as it seemed. Just be prepared to be patient. Your patients will be tested more than anything. I'm not at all patient and I made it through the first step, so you'll do fine.

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath
