Starting this thread so we can the progress we make through NVC...

As you suggested, I'm also joining for this thread :) Now we are waiting our case to be transferred to NVC.. Exciting! But I hate all the paper work though. Need to gather all the evidence plus fill out that DS-230 form. My head is already hurting :P

Yeah, I know what you mean. That part makes me worry and stress out because I know what one little mistake means!!! :wacko::bonk::unsure: Did the hard copy of NOA2 list of the required documents you need to send to NVC?

My husband hasn't received it yet, so I don't know what kind of instructions it will have. Can you tell me what your NOA2 told you? So far I have my police record, birth certificate and marriage certificate. I have also translated our joint bank account agreement which was in finnish. I actually wondered one thing about these translations. Do you need to attach the original document to the translated copy? Because that is what our translator did. Also about these certified copies. I made one of our marriage certificate and I'm also going to do that for my police record. I'm not very confident of giving NVC our original papers, if they are going to lose those :whistle:

The NOA2 hardcopy does not list the documents you will need to send to NVC. Read the LingChe shorcut found here http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...he_NVC_ShortCut

This guide will help you prepare all of the documents you will need for the NVC process. As far as sending originals, your are requested to send the Original documents plus certified copies, which is what I plan on doing for the Marriage Certificat, Wife's Birth Certificate, etc.

She got one from the local police station, and since she just moved in the last 6 months she needs to get one more police station clearance. She plans on going to the passport office on Monday. I have sent her scans of the NOA2, so she can show that along with I-130 file and the DS-230 checklist, at the passport office.. Has your wife been able to get the pcc from the passport office?

Yes, She already got copy. And I send copy to nvc y'day.

FYI, NVC will accept scanned copy of passport office pcc, you dont need to submit original. Your wife can take it to interview.

On NOA2 it says your case will be forwarded to NVC for furthur visa processing and then they list number of nvc.

My K-3 went to Embassy

My CR-1 (I-130) is still at state and got DS3032 generated & IV BIll YEsterday, I found that out today

I think the reason mine took long at USCIS is i have travelled allot to the US in the last 10 years more than i can remember and they have to make sure i didn't overstay any of them, which i didn't
