I am a Russian women who married an American man. I came here on a tourist visa and we decided to get married on 01/27/2009. Now we are not sure what the next step is for myself to become an American citizen. What forms should him an I fill out and in what order? And do we need to go to the social security office and change my last name? Also when I fill out whatever forms i need to do I put his last name down since we are married or continue using my last name. Please help us!!

If your intention upon your last entry was to visit and you later decided to marry, follow this guide.

If you came here fully intending to marry after your arrival, do not overstay your allowed time, probably 90 days total. Follow this guide. It will require you leave the USA before your I-94 expires. To try to do option one above is visa fraud and can result in up to a lifetime ban from the USA and potentially jail for your husband.
