I was thinking of Micky Rourke. I was a fan back in his younger days, but his lame attempts at maintaining youth are horrible. I'm happy that he found a nitch in his latest wrestling movie, but at some point you have to age gracefully.

After all, nobody gets out of this world alive. The older you get...the more you age. It ain't always pretty. People in the public spotlight tend to deny it worst than most people.

The rest of us live in the natural world and embrace the inevitable. My parents and grandparents did it and my wife and I do too. It is a part of life and the progression of life. Otherwise aging will just make you unhappy and it really shouldn't. Every stage of life should be looked forward too. There is no going back.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Yep. Although there are things you can do to help you age gracefully - limit your alcohol intake, don't smoke, avoid the sun, drink lots of water, and exercise.

Exercise is good...physical work is not. The sun gives you wrinkles, but is not as bad as many think it is. Vitamin "D" is your friend. Physical work is hell on the joints. The rest of the advice is sound. Chronic smoking of tobacco or dope is bad news. Drinking alcohol in moderation is not so bad. I know quite a lot of 80+ year old Russians that drink samagon regularly and can kick azz on most 18 year old American kids. It can't be that bad, can it? Diet is very important. Whole grains and fresh produce is important. TV dinners and processed food is not good. From the earth is good, chemicals are bad.
