wait period for visa number

My fiance is waiting for visa number, His case was filed on May 06 and approved by USCIS on june 07. Now my question here is does the country of origin of applicant make any difference on getting visa number time? He was filed on family 1 preference and country of origin is Nepal.

Yes,

F-1 class for filed July 02 are just now being issued numbers. Some countries like Mexico, and Philippines are waiting much longer.

Are you a US citizen??? If you are, why not file an I-129F for a fiancee visa, this will be MUCH quicker than waiting for the F-1 class visa. Or better yet marry, and file for a CR1 visa, this has the benefit of a green-card upon entry, like the visa that your fiancee is waiting for.

If you are not a US citizen, consider naturalizing and then filing for a K-1 or CR-1 visa.

Unfortunately I'm not a citizen or permanent resident. I'm on student visa and my fiance was sponsored by his father who is citizen. Seems like wait period is going to be really long. Any suggestions.
