Is there going on all day today that my favorite "View New Posts" link is not working?

because EWOK had to turn off the search function to keep the system from spiking causing the performance of the site to be nil

The server has been acting up and the #1 way to reduce load is to disable the search (it causes the most CPU loading). I hope to have a work around soon for this issue. Until then you can use the "ajax" new/hot topic links at the top right of every window on the site. They are similar to the "view new topics" but of course not the same. They are written to cause very little load on the site and thus not cause problems. Also the main site search (google) is still working and for general searches should be a good alternative.

I will keep everyone posted on fixing the forums search as news is available !

I have restored all search related items (view new posts, list members old posts/topics, etc) except actually searching for "words" in topics/posts. I believe this will function well and keep the server moving along. Once a solution to the search issue (for words) is found I will update everyone with that information. Hopefully in the next 24-38 hours... Until then the main site search is available as usual.
