I am waiting for my Interviewdate, so definitley time for me to get all the pictures and stuff together I want to take with me to the Interview.

We have

*emails (not so many since we always talk on the phone),

*phone bills (but not with his number listed, just says calls to the USA)

*a few cards and letters

*photos, but no new ones since we filed the petition

*basically all the proof of relationship we submitted with the petition including the boarding passes from all our flights, hotel bills,...)

Now I have been reading about another letter of intent from the petitioner (my fiance), do I as beneficiary need to write one too?

What about those letters describing how the relationship started and developed, including the dates when we met, when we got engaged...(well, he proposed to me on the phone because he was deployed and I got my ring 3 months later when I went to the States)...is that a must, is it helpful or just a nice addition?

For our 2 year dating "anni" I made a photobook with pictures from all our visits and vacations with some nice notes and comments...should I take that too?

Any suggestions and experiences of what I should get together besides the obvious, like all the forms and documents,...

I would bring the anniversary album if I were you  Most of our evidence for my fiance's interview is what I submitted for him in the original petition, plus some additional postcards and pictures and phone records covering the time since we filed the petition. Otherwise... that's it! I think knowing the answers to the questions the CO asks is in many ways more important than pictures and letters, you could practice from the sample questions in the guides, which is what my fiance' and I will do.

We updated our "affidavit of bona fide intention to marry" with new dates and had mine notarized and my fiance has his family sign it as witnesses. Make sure to bring lots of photos... you probably have more than the ones you sent in initially. Good luck!

I (the petitioner) followed this websites guide, and wrote a letter reaffirming my intent to marry and we took it to the interview. The guide doesn't suggest the immigrant to write one at that point, but I suppose can't hurt. Did not have it notorized. The consulate officer returned the original and copy to us, so maybe was not important at this consulate. But suggest following the vj guide.

Good luck.

I read about the Letter of Intend on VJ, but as far as I remember, it was not listed on the Instructions from USCIS when we got our I-129F together. So you don't neccessarly have to get an RFE because of this.

The same with the renewed Letter of Intend for the Interview. I think, it is only recommended on here, but not really a must...but this might vary from embassy to embassy.

Am I right on this? Please correct me before I am giving wrong information!!

Basically it's the more you can show them, the better.

We only submitted like 7 photos, from every time we met, two letters, a couple emails...but all our boarding passes when we flew back and forth.

Since I was in the States when we sent the petition, we don't have new pictures of us together to show at the Interview, but I hope, that everything together will be enough.

I think what counts is, that you can show them that you have a valid relationship, which I am sure, they will find out with all those questions they will ask.

I re read the last post i left and felt more was needed...

If IMBRA rfe's are just sent out (standard) to everyone effected and your still it noa1 stage then i guess you could get 2 rfe's..

But if they go case by case in the noa1 stage then then both items would come together...

The same with the renewed Letter of Intend for the Interview. I think, it is only recommended on here, but not really a must...but this might vary from embassy to embassy.

Am I right on this? Please correct me before I am giving wrong information!!

I was informed by the people helping me with my petition that a SECOND/renewed letter of intent was not required. It isn't listed on the documents the K packet requires (at least for the Philippines). I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to have it and many her have stated that they have done it.

Does anyone know differently, and can show us where this is required?

I believe this differs depending on the consulate. So what you need or don't need in the Philippines is probably not the same as the requirements for the OP in Germany.

I'd look at the 'embassy info' section of this site and see if it outlines it for your particular consulate. If not, I'm sure the embassy will tell you exactly what to bring for the interview - including another letter of intent if necessary.

Take one letter reaffirming from the petitioner to the interview. You may or may not need it. You do not need a 2nd letter from both of you.

Closer to your interview stage you both will have to write another letter of intent to marry...Just simple saying you still are in support of the K1.....Good Luck
