Thanks guys, we're all here to help!

Well, as for the visa delivery... I haven't heard of too many people say they had to wait longer than 3 business days for their visa to be delivered by DOMESA. But like they said, it's not a sure thing and I haven't heard of the "a$$ kissing" technique either.

I think the best thing would be to give it around 5 business days just in case. That's what I would do anyway. If you get your visa delivered in 2-3 days after the interview, then you still have 2-3 days to enjoy Bogotá.

Diana

Thanks Diana,

I was fresh outta lipbalm anyway..

Thanks Diana,

Are they charging people the extra money at the embassy for the new visa fee? I read someplace that it is called a surcharge fee

And to be prepared to pay it before the interview at the embassy ? Do you know anything about this? Are they starting to get the new visa fee this way? Even if you already paid the $131.00 as we did?

I just recieved an E-Mail from the Bogota consulate answering this question. I E-mailed them after I posted this..It took them 8 days to reply and the answer was.... if you are already paid they WILL NOT surcharge you anything more if the fee goes up after you already paid the current fee.:thumbs:

They probably think she's applying for a temporary visa such as tourist visa, student visa or something like that but she still needs to fill out form DS-156. In fact, the US Embassy in Bogotá's web site has information on how to fill it out online. Just click on the link after the information regarding K type visas: http://bogota.usembassy.gov/nonimmigrant_visas.html

you have to wait at least 1 or 2 weeks more, if you want you can call to NVC to ask if they have the interview date already

Hi! Yes I think many of us have logged into the USCIS website...the message you received is just as it says, them requesting more evidence. Unfortunately, you will have to wait for the hard letter to see what they are requesting. As a rule, these are generally very simple, just supply them with the information and they will resume your case. Good Luck with this.

depends on the time you take to send the requested evidence

In what city was it? Maybe could contact to the bank for e-mail and ask if it is true that already do not receive the form 156 for visa K1 (servicioalcliente@grupohelm.com)

They kinda "shelf" your petition until they receive the info they need. I would just respond as quickly as possible and they will resume and should notify you in some fashion, website etc... that they have resumed work on your petition. The RFE could be for anything, it does not necessarily have anything to do with evidence you sent. The only plus about having an RFE means you know they were at least working on your file :) Hopefully they will resume quickly after they receive your response.
