I have the I-134 form filled out. But the instructions say I-864 is needed..Am I reading the wrong instructions?

For the I-129F petition which one do I bring to the interview.. The I-134 or I-864 ? Support document..

you are fine with the I-134 form, because you did the I-129F petition. The form I-864 is needed when is applying for CR1/IR, because they skip the AOS step. You will need the I-864 form for the next step Adjustment of Status.

Are they charging people the extra money at the embassy for the new visa fee? I read someplace that it is called a surcharge fee

And to be prepared to pay it before the interview at the embassy ? Do you know anything about this? Are they starting to get the new visa fee this way? Even if you already paid the $131.00 as we did?

IMO, I don´t think so, because you pay knowing the date of interview and it is not your fault if you paid today and tomorrow they decide to increase the fee, the increase would not be retroactive, but who has the last word I guess .. Uncle Sam

I wonder if Bertha's Attorney will be able to help her navigate Packet 3 and 4, or did they only agree to help her with her I-129F? Bertha, what did your lawyer say they would do as far as helping you complete your K-1 process???

Hi Ken I spoke with my attorney a couple days ago and asked her if she would be helping me with packet 3 and 4 and she said yes. she already sent me the ds-230 form Juan Esteban has to fill out. I asked her if there is anything else from packet 3 that we will need to have ready and she has yet to give me an answer on that. Do you think you could help me out with that and just give me some tips on what other paper work we would need and stuff. thanks so much!

I called the DOS today and found out that our interview date is June 17...por fin!!!

At least I'll have plenty of time to plan for the trip to Bogota. My goal was for Carol to arrive at POE before July 4th...which is still attainable.

June 17th- good deal Mark! I am hoping for around a July 4th POE with Valeria, too. She has until July 13th to get here, before the visa expires. Hell, I filed on November 11th 2008, so it's been a long ride... I am off to Pereira tomorrow (Saturday) for a week to see her. I hope all is well with Colombia Club people...

Congrats......Finally you have a date...Jet Blue has great rates from Orlando to Bogota..Orlando will be Maria's POE hopefully on May 22nd. That's my goal as of today...4 hour layover then on to New Jersey..

If the visa is approved...How long does it take before you can pick it up at the Domesa office in Bogota. I think the timeframes given are for delivery service and not Pick up at the office timeframes..Did anyone do it this way? I intend to Pick it up...

Yes. The problem was that Domesa failed to notify my wife when the Passport and related paperwork arrived to Barranquilla. They later explained that they would not deliver to her Barrio because it was 'too far' and the roads 'too undeveloped.' Gimmme a break. Anyway, she had to stand outside on the sidewalk in Downtown Barranquilla and waited for her package to be handed to her and she was worried that the package would be stolen from her, but she made it home with the package safely, but the experience was something I was surprised had happened. Customer Service?
