Just wanted to update all with the latest new on us sandra has TB and trement takes about 6 month at least. I also need to go get test since it is highly contagiuos . She is very sad and scared right now. I just want her to get well

I'm really sorry to hear this but at the same time I always look at the glass as half full since there is really no other option but to look at the bright side. It's best that they caught it on time, that it can be treated and that the treatment can be done in Colombia. Just think if it hadn't been caught early on and then on top of that having to pay for treatment here in the US. Forget about that. Once treatment is over she'll be healthy and able to move on with her life.

everything will be fine but doctors say will take 6months to treat. i think we have 1 year to get medical approved.

I told Leidys about Sandra's condition, and she was so upset that it will take so long to treat in Colombia. Do your best to hang in there - you're both in it for the long haul, and although this is a setback, just like Diana said, this will be for Sandra's health and well-being. You will both be more than ready to marry when she steps foot on American soil.

Harold,

We're sorry to hear the bad news and hope you and Sandra will be okay. I read Ken's link and am pretty sure she'll get over it, and although this might (and probably will) delay her trip, your visa is still approved and that won't change. I say just focus on getting her better, which is what's important now, and then she'll get her passport with the visa and will be able to go live with you forever!

Best of luck to you and Sandra!!

And best of luck to Mark and Carol too! hopefully you will have your interview and the visa soon!

A little bit of news from us:

We got Cristian's passport with the visa and the envelope today (3 days after the interview) and are going to buy his ticket sometime during the day. Woo-hoo!! We're so excited!! :star:

Thank you.

That's great Amour...very fast turn around. Very exciting to know that Cristian will be with you soon and para siempre.

Good luck.

Mark

To be completely honest, I think these doctors randomly pick the person they ask to get the vaccines again. There are many people who get them weeks in advance or just bring their vaccine records of the shots they got as children and they're ok'd by the doctor. Then there's others who are asked to get them again even if they got them days prior to the appointment. So, who knows. But as long as they approve and clear everything before the interview, all's good I guess.

Diana

Diana,

I guess it's a ####### shoot. I think that I will wait cause I spend enough money in Colombia and don't care to stimulate their economy at my expense!!!

I am going down a few days before we have to leave for Bogota and make sure that we are prepared for the interview. I think I will have Carol ask the doctor if we can get vaccines in Cali instead of Bogota.

Thanks,

Mark

You're an American. That means you have plenty of cash to burn!:bonk:

I told Leidys under no circumstances would I pay for a 2nd vaccine that she already had. The Peso stopped here! The good thing about her completing her Vaccines in Colombia was that they were less expensive there than in the United States had we opted to complete her vaccinations here. It's all about those Benjamin's!

I also think its about the cash they say they knows what she has but not 100%. They keep on wanted to do exam after exam. They do skin test and it was positive but when they do tissue sample they say it is negitive maybe because she is in early stages. I told her they need to start treament that we do not have time or money for them to continue just doing exams every week. Its time the doctors make a descion
