Thank you guys!

We never really figured out how to upload pictures to the pictures section of this site so here's a couple pictures of us for you guys since you all shared yours with us.

SDC12404.jpg

SDC12921.jpg

We can't wait for Tuesday so all this waiting is finally over and we can come home together!! Not that I don't like Colombia but I really miss living in the states... >.<

We'll let you guys know how it went when we get home that day.

Cristian is a little shy talking in English to Americans. (Well not me of course.) But we're both confident because we have truth on our side and I have every right to live with my husband in my own country if I want to.

Thanks everyone for your help and counsel throughout this process!

Great photos! When Leidys and I were at the Embassy in October, a young woman had 5 photos of her Fiancee with her and family, and the photos looked like the guy was ready to cry in a few of them, and was beaten with a bag of potatoes in the others. You couldn't tell if they were in a relationship or were allergic to each other or both! Your photos look very loving and I'm sure with your proof you will show the Embassy, you both will do great. Keep us posted.

The picture was taken during a trip to Villa de Leyva. :)

Our visa was approved about 5 or 10 minutes into the interview. None of our evidence was reviewed (we had a lot)and the lady who interviewed us was REALLY nice and sweet and you could tell that she was happy for us when we started jumping and celebrating after we got approved.

It was a really nice experience over all.

The questions were very simple. Mainly about our relationship, like how did we meet, when did we get engaged, how many times we've seen each other, etc.

The consular officer lady was so nice! ...

Thanks SO MUCH to everyone who helped us by answering our questions, etc. We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY that we don't even know what to do with ourselves. Honestly, you guys helped us a lot and we're VERY grateful. So thank you all a million times.

Hopefully we'll be able to help some good, decent people, like you guys did with us, now that we know a lot more about this process.

We managed to not have a single RFE or any other problem of any kind thanks to all the info we found here and the questions you guys answered for us.

So thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

P.S: Diana you are a really special person. You helped us understand this process. When we first came here, we didn't even know what an I-130 was or the difference between an I-864 and a bag of potatoes, but you patiently answered all of our questions, however silly they were.

So we want to extend a special gratitude to you.

Congratulations once again to you both!! :) We're all here for each other and I just like to help as much as others helped me when we were going through the process. ^_^

Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Oh ok! Yeah we were all excited when you guys got your visa 'cause it happened only a few days before our interview.

Again, thanks everybody for all the help! And thanks for the sweet words and congratulations. (L)

We're probably gonna travel together on April 10th if we can get Cristian's ticket for the same flight I'm in. If not, then I'll change flights but we're definitely going back together.

Do we need any documents other than the sealed envelope to go through the POE?

Just his passport like everyone else as well as his cédula. When you guys arrive at the airport, you both can go through the US citizens/residents line so they can send him to the Immigration office to process his paperwork.

Well, I finally found this thread again after VJ updated their software. Boy, it's difficult learning where everything is now since I was used to the old software.

Good news! We received our NOA2 on 3/15.:dance: I was so excited that all I could say was OMG, OMG. Now, on to step 2 of the process.

We are hoping for an interview in May. (fingers crossed)

Congrats CristianAmour!!! What a great feeling it must be to have your visa approved.

For Vermont, I think your forms were processed very fast. My NOA2 came roughly at the same time (3 months - May 1st-Aug 4th). I would now start with the vaccinations on your list for your SO Carol.

Vermont was processing fast last summer (NOA2 in 2 months), but slowed down in Nov. Don't we have to wait until we schedule an interview before getting the vaccinations? I already told her to request the police report and certificado de

migratorio. I know that everything moves fast from now on.

Thanks for the advice Ken.
