I have a fast question - DS 230 - pages 1 & 2 are all that are necessary along with DS2100? I was going to fax both parts of the DS-230, but it appears that it is not required.

Thanks,

Ken

This is on the US Bogota Embassy site - these are the instructions in Spanish for K1 http://spanish.bogota.usembassy.gov/root/p...ciones_temp.pdf

DS2100 = DS230 DS2100 English DS230 Spanish send that in with the OF-169. OF-169 is page 5 of the above link/document - its the page you need to fax in to let them know you are ready.

Edit post above DS2100 = http://spanish.bogota.usembassy.gov/root/p...ciones_temp.pdf but in Spanish. Page 5 is called OF-169 and its what you fax in along with DS230. As I mentioned in a prevous post, pay close attention the the expiration date on DS230 - I have into a copy that has expired...

Why don't we all just go to Bogotá... have some Buñuelos and Chocolate con queso at 5AM and then go to the Embassy and ####### the Embassy staff into just finishing that darn AP for Joe?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Joe -- I was totally thinking of you when I ran through the earlier posts on Colombia Club II, getting my Packet 3 together. Your questions were clearly written, helping me decide precisely which forms to email to the embassy late last night. Thanks! Also, your description of the Embassy, and the layout of Bogotá was also very helpful. I hope you have a great time in Pereira, later next week. Enjoy!

Hey Ken,

I remember asking a million questions here on VJ when I was going through the process- reading many hours and pages of Colombian Club 1 and 2. The people and info from this forum have been invaluable- even comforting- throughout the "journey." It is cool when you get "things" along the way, like the NOA2, new BGT case number they assign, packet 3, an interview appointment date and then hopefully the visa! I think, for me, that is the hardest part about being in AP- you don't know when or what to expect for the next thing...

Sounds like you'll be heading to the famed Embassy in October- best of luck to ya Ken!

Yes - by this Thursday, I am expecting an email from the Embassy - or at least to hear from Leidys with our confirmation email. "Pretty soon" is what I told my Mother this morning about the whole process. She is really happy about all of this as well.

Ay Dios Madre...

My command has just graced my unclass email with a selection for reassignment! Im possibly going to be headed over to Osan Air Base South Korea in March but not sure if I will be able to make this an accompanied tour or not. My Adrianita knew for awhile that this was going to be a big possibility. My only hope is that I can find the true answer about this today. It is both our wishes that we can get past this immigration BS asap now more than ever. With the approvals of the I129 and I130 in the books, we want to continue to pursue both visa petitions. Naturally we originally wanted the I130 but considering the circumstances anything that gets her here fastest is the best choice. My questions are begining to mount so I thought I would write on here.

My understanding is that the NVC sends the I129 application to the Embassy while the I130 is retained. What should I do when both require the originals of the limited supply of originals I do have?

The DAS certificado judicial/migratoria is sealed in an envelope for the embassy but can we make a copy for the NVC's own use?

Should i just drop the ball on the I130 altogether? The I129 K3 visa will still let Adriana revisit Colombian if needed right?
