The first list of December 2010 appointments at the Bogota embassy is out today. Unfortunately no interview for us. The final list comes out in a week. Here's to positive news for us on that one.

Thanks. I just rec'd confirmation of their receipt of Packet 3 on 11/16 so I more expect that we would be on the 2nd December list. I will call DOS on Wednesday and email them on Friday if I don't get a date by then. We're planning on a January 4, 2011 POE but if it has to be a little later in January, that's OK too. Any later creates havoc on our plans. I'm still hopeful.

Same here and our receipt of packet 3 was confirmed on 10/29/10. With our luck during this process, they will post the new updated list on November 30th, giving us a December 1st interview date, which makes it impossible for me to attend. LOL I really hate this wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, ok now rush, rush, rush, process.It would be nice to have some time to actually plan the trip for the interview and I am not quite sure I can go into work one day, and say "I am taking the next week off for vacation, starting tomorrow". Robert, good luck for your interview date!

I'm with David on this one. I'd rather have an interview with 2-3 weeks notice. I've already alerted my employers that I need to take a week off but I might not know when until the last moment. I hope that that will work for me. We've looked at the calendar and early January is not too bad. If all goes well, we are looking to "do the do" on February 4th which is a very important date for her. I wanted her to have a full month here so that she can be more involved with the preparations. Nothing like "Welcome to America, we got to get to the church right now." But we will play the hand that we are dealt.

I heard previously that the Bogota embassy processes a smaller amount of visas in December due to the holidays. I hope you guys make it in under the wire. If you travel in January, your flights will be less-expensive, but I know you both wish you could line things up prior to the conclusion of the calendar year. My only thought is that if David received confirmation of his Packet 3 on 10/29, and he is not on the list yet, things must be seriously backed up there. I hope you guys can somehow request an interview or something.

I knew that David had gotten his NOA2 but I didn't realize that they were still waiting for an interview date. I'll try to do some begging. Not sure if it will help; but well worth taking a chance.
