Hi,

Congratulations again,

After the interview we explained to Domesa that she lives 8 hours away and of course I live in the U.S.A and we did not want to take a chance with the mailing system, It was also cheaper with the pick up option.

My fiancee lives in Manizales , so it was not a problem. It's an 8 hour drive or a 45 min flight.

For some F'n reason WE did not get the option to pick up the visa because she lives in Bogota..But I had someone today call the Domesa office and complain about this ..They told us to FAX a letter to them with her cedula # which is also the passoport # for a Colombiana..I did not ever notice that myself.. And request a pick-up vs a delivery.. But if you compare you fiancee's cedula to her passport # they are the exact same number.. :bonk: So we did just that...I must say this...........If it wasn't for the Colombian women being the HOTTEST :wow: Women in the world ..I wold not have even tried to deal with all the ####### that went along with this petition..........Colombian Women Rock....:dance::dance::dance:

I used a 4" wide legal binder/folder to take all my things in..As long as it is not a briefcase it does not matter how big it is.. You are there to present your case to them...Take everything..They probably will not want to see everything but what if they ask for something and you did not bring it??

you also used a 3 hole binder? thats what i have and i heard that its to big i am just going to leave everything in there and if they ask for something ill just take the paper out and its. i have it very organized and i think thats what should matter. the pictures i did hear they didnt want them in the folder they want them lose so i guess ill just put them in an envelope, that should be ok right? thanks so much for your help! and congrats again on the approval!

I did not put holes in anything...When you get there you will be given a folder with instructions on how to organize the documents. So putting them in a binder is making things more difficult for you and them. And the photos are loose because the interviewer flipped through them several times..

During the interview, you will be asked to slide the photos under the window (as if you are at a bank teller window) to present your proof of an on-going relationship. You can present as many as you like, as we did. The CO kept about 20 photos that went into our file.

On Friday, my Colombiana received her Conditional Green Card. I couldn't have done it all without everyone's help here at Colombia Club II.

The Green Card arrived 4 weeks after our Interview in San Bernardino, CA.

The Interview ocurred 6 months after Leidys' POE at LAX (11-22-09 - 5-24-10).

Our AOS was sent out on March 8th (after I forgot to sign some forms - duh!). :bonk:

Leidys and I were super-organized when we went to the Embassy.

I went to Office Depot and bought two Avery 1" 3-ring 200 sheet binders in white.

azrave68060.gif

In these, I used plastic paper holders, and I placed the following:

my completed I-129F (paperclipped),

along with my I-797 NOA forms,

Invitation notice letter (to get inside US Embassy),

I-864 (completed, but not used during meeting),

Packet 4 (with all completed forms relevant to Packet 4),

Packet 3 (originals since I scanned and emailed my Packet 3, and backup copies of her ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE,

DAS (Banco de Bogota) receipt,

Passport photocopy,

Receipt from DOMESA (since we were approved at the embassy),

Receipt from Banco Helm ($275,100.00),

Photocopy of Cedula,

Vaccination Document Copy (to be used for Adjustment of Status at Civil Surgeon Meeting),

Original Certificado Internacional de Vacunacion o de Profilaxis,

Emails from Leidys,

Receipts for the calling cards I purchased, etc.

Photographs were kept separate since there were so many. We carried about 50 photos, but presented 20 initially which were the only ones the CO wanted to see. He was surprised to see my Mother visiting with Leidys parents in their Barrio, and commented on this with us.

Good luck, Berta. I'm sure everything will flow smoothly for you and Esteban. :star:

I-797 is your NOTICE OF ACTION 1 or NOA1 and NOA2 related to your approved I-129F.

I-864 relates to your Sponsorship [ http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864.pdf ]

I carried them, but they were not asked for.

The benefit of organizing the Packet 4 forms along the guidelines of the Packet 4 instructions was that during the Embassy interview, these forms could be pulled out in the exact order, and placed inside of the large envelope quickly and without any confusion.
