I've been all ready to e-mail it out for more than a week now, but every time I call the NVC they tell me that they still have my case file in "additional processing" and have not yet sent it out to the embassy, so I'm stuck just waiting & waiting...

Just out of curiosity, may I ask why they wanted a DAS certificate done on YOU in addition to the usual one on the beneficiary? I've never heard of that before. Although I've never lived there, I've been down for about a dozen visits of between 3 & 10 days each within the last year and a half, so I'm wondering if that might make me at all likely to be asked to get one too...

anyone know a airline ticket website i can find cheap flights to bogota from Medellin Colombia so my boyfriend and i can go on a plane instead of a 10 hour long bus ride to the interview. thanks in advance for all your help!

Been researching the very same thing myself recently for when our time comes and Aires airlines seems to have by far the cheapest tickets on that route if you can get the lowest discount seats before they fill up. Their own web site is here Aires Airlines Link and you need to check there because just like Southwest Airlines here in the USA, Aeries DOES NOT show up on standard airline search sites like Travelocity.

By the way, Spirit Airlines settled their pilot's union strike last night and are starting to fly again today. As part of the publicity of getting back in the air, they are offering a $50 off deal on any tickets booked by end of the day on the 18th (tomorrow.) You have to book them through their own company web site, and enter the coupon code of 50OFF when you book. Might be of use to you if you're close enough to consider flying to Medellin on their nonstop out of Fort Lauderdale.

Usually the round trip is cheeeeeeeeaper than one way. There is not problem if you use the first leg and save the second leg to use within a year

I only ask because on Aires and Jetblue, it´s cheaper one way and kind of hard picking a date in the future. So there should be no problem purchasing one way or will the people give my fiance trouble at the POE? Do I have to purchase the ruondtrip within 3 months away from eachother (since that´s the time given to marry)? Thanks

Here's my question of the day

Since my Hubby nd I file joint taxes and he is the one sponsoring our son should I fill out a joint sponsor thing just in case? Hunny's W-2 WAY over cover the poverty limit and so Does mine by themselves. I however alreay have 3 immigrants under a 864 and Hubby has none. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

We are filling out the DS-156 form i have a couple of questions if someone can help us please.

question #14. National Identification Number would that be his cedula number?

#26. how lond go you intend to stay in the US? the answer would be forever because we are getting married LOL. but what should the answer be?

#27. what is the purpose of your trip? can the answer be to get married?

#32. do you intend to work in the US? the answer would be yes but it says there that if its a yes to write the name and complete address of employer and we dont know where he is going to get a job yet.

#33. DO you intend to study in the US? and the answer is yes again because he is going to study english but we dont have the full name and address of that either.

we would really apperciate everyones help! thanks so much!

YIPPEE! - NVC just confirmed that they sent my file out to Bogota on the 15th! DHL tracking of that day's only shipment to Bogota shows it already delivered & signed for about noon on the 17th. Completed DS2100 & DS230 from Packet 3 just e-mailed out to the embassy, wish us luck to try and still catch a July appointment date before the final July list is updated "between the 20th & the 30th" next week...
