You can get the ATM through Bank Branches? Or as panama jack said, I could have just called the american number and set up the appt for her. Actually we were thinking she could have just used my credit card for the website, until i tried and realized it only accepted colombian bank accounts. So basically she could have gone there and paid them in person to get the pin? <shakes his head>, why didnt they tell her any of that? Seems that they just gave her the bank website and said she needed to get it from the internet, so she had to wait 10 days to get the pin because she couldnt get a credit card............and yours took 4 weeks to get the appointment? Looks like shes going back to barranquilla again to wait.........I tell you, this ####### is rediculous. Its cost me thousands of dollars and we didnt even go the attorney route, yet there are 14 million undocumented mexicans living in the USA, who can get drivers licenses and buy houses, get bank accounts, and basically face zero difficulties without going through any of this. It is frustrating to say the least, but I realize I am speaking to the quire, since most of you have gone through the process as well.

When I took my wife Leidys (also from Barranquilla) to the Dept. of Motor Vehicles here in CA, she was denied a CA ID Card, because it could not be determined (at the time) that she had 90 days of legal residency. I feel for you, but the rules here in CA state that you don't get an ID card w/o some sort of legal residency.

Yeah it does appear that way. As I said I wasnt there and I only have what she tells me, I asked her a couple times about it, and she said they only gave her that website to go to. I do believe you though, and plan to have some words with her later about this. It seems my novia does not think things through very well.

I have a photo copy of the form in hand and I will present the info to you exactly as it is on the bottom of the form.

Please fill in your timeline........It is important we here at CC Part 2 understands the full perspective of your Journey. If more help can be rendered to you..Frustration will only get your Blood Pressure to raise...You are not alone I personally can say I am right there with you.

So try to remain calm when you have a few words with your fiancee because this is new to her also..Look at it that way. You must work together to resolve this and frustration will only create problems between the both of you. This is your future wife and treating her as such will greatly impact your future happiness together.. Think before you talk to her..Just a suggestion...Colombianas make mistakes because they are human and you need to address this issue gently..She will Love you more if you are understanding and not push the blame on her because she did not read the form correctly..Take my advice for what it's worth..This woman is your Future..Do not mess it up because of a misunderstanding that you already solved..It is over and you are on you way to VISA APPROVED.. BTW we have the same date to bring in the missing document .6-17-2010.

just wanted to say hi to everyone and say good luck to all upcoming interviews. an update on sandra, the embassy doctor said that her treatment for her sickness would take 6 months to finish but if she was better in 2 months she could come and finish treatment in usa. it has been 2 months and she is better now and her doctor in barranquilla said that she can travel. the embassy doctor said that he thinks there is a law in Atlantica where she can not travel until she finishes treatment. we pointed out that the doctor said it was ok and the the embassy doctor said it would be ok so why is he changing his mind. then the embassy doctor said maybe can not finish treatment in usa because drugs are to expenisive. he has know idea if we can afford or not i do not think this is his place to say. i told her we can buy all the meds from colombia embassy doctor if he wants. at the end of the conversation he said call back next week so he can think about it. now we might have to wait for more months. this is so frustrating.

The Embassy called my fiancee today at 4:30 PM to confirm the new interview date since they knew I made it from the USA and wanted to be sure that she was aware of it..How nice of them.. :wow: They must have found a bunch of happy pills yesterday.. But It was administrative day at the embassy Friday..and then they have a 3 day weekend to celebrate Memorial Day weekend so they may have just been in a good mood period. I know I am as I also have a 3 day weekend... Yakad you were 100% correct as usual..:dance::dance:

So in the Future anybody that needs to make an appointment to bring in Documents can BYPASS Banco Colpatria for $16 USD and call the 1-877 # from the USA..It works and there was no wait to be connected to a live operator...

So, I called to make an appointment to bring my I-130 Petition and they only accept them Tuesdays at 1. They wouldn't an appointment date that far out (July) either. Yeesh, I really hate this embassy sometimes.

In my opinion, it makes sense that they wouldn't schedule you two months in advance. I don't blame them.
