How long for case to be approved at NVC after upgrade of application?

Hi All

My husband became a U.S citizen on 5th Dec 2008 and upgraded my application I-130 for IR1 visa which was filed in march 2007 on 5th dDec 2008 itself. He recieved a mail that teh application has been upgraded as well and we have noticed an update on 23rd Dec 2008 which is the last.

How long more will it take for us to get an approval and for our case to reach NVC for the processing to start??

I-130 SENT - Mar 2007

NOA1 - Mar 2007

Application Upgraded - Dec 05 2008

Touched- Dec 23 2008

Case approved at USCIS - July 20th 2009

NVC assigned case number- July 28th 2009...yeah!!

DS3032 mailed to us by NVC - Aug 3rd 2009

DS3032 emailed to NVC - Aug 5th 2009

AOS fee paid - Aug 5th 2009

AOS fee accepted - Aug 8th 2009-yeah!!

Email frm NVC to send I864 - Aug 19th 2009

I864 sent - Aug 20th 2009

I864 received by NVC - Aug 24th 2009

DS3032 accepted - Aug 24th 2009 Yeah email from NVC DS3032 processed:)

IV bill paid - Aug 25th 2009

DS230 sent to NVC - Sep 2nd 2009

DS230 received by NVC - Sep 4th 2009

I864 & DS230 processed by NVC - still waiting:(god willing it should be soon:)

RFE on DS230 - Sep 17th 2009 - NVC requires original Birth and Marriage certificate:(

Original certificates sent - Sep 19th 2009

NVC received docs - Sep 22nd 2009 - still waiting for some good news....

CASE COMPLETE - OCT 5th 2009 - YEAH...NOW AM WAITING FOR AN INTERVIEW DATE..GOD WILLING THAT WILL B NEXT MONTH:)

INTERVIEW email - Oct 13th 2009

INTERVIEW DATE - NOV 20TH 2009....YEAH...YIPPY...AM SUPER EXCITED!!

Yeah interview over just have to submit one document tht was missing then i will get my visa!!nov 22nd 2009

Hello, in my case it is about 3 months. I became a citizen 09/23/2008, my wife's NOA2 is 01/07/2009. I think it also depends on when you file I-130. I'm pretty sure that someone that file I-130 on 2005 and upgraded almost the same time with me, got NOA2 faster, maybe in December.

It's been a long journey

09-1997 Met my gf - wife now

04-04-1998 Get together

08-03-2003 Admitted to the US as PR

07-24-2005 Finally get married

09-2005 Came together to US for honeymoon, wife on B1 visa, I94 extension approved for 2 x 6 months

04-2007 Fly to visit parents, wife denied entry to US

07-01-2007 File I-130

07-12-2007 NOA1

05-2008 File N-400

09-23-2008 US Citizen

09-31-2008 Submit certificate for upgrades

10-29-2008 Touched

01-07-2009 NOA2

01-12-2009 Case forwarded to NVC

01-16-2009 Case in NVC system

01-20-2009 DS3032 and AOS Fee Bill generated

01-24-2009 AOS Fee Bill received, paid, DS3032 sent by email

01-28-2009 AOS Bill shown paid

01-30-2009 Choice of Agent accepted by email confirmation, paid IV bill

02-02-2009 IV Bill shown paid

02-05-2009 Send AOS Package

02-09-2009 IV Bill received

02-10-2009 Send DS230 Package

02-11-2009 NVC received both packages

02-19-2009 Case completed

02-25-2009 Case forwarded to JAK consulate

04-20-2009 Fingerprint appointment

04-23-2009 Interview date - Success!

05-07-2009 POE - LAX

06-04-2009 No news from USCIS so we go to SS office to apply for SS

06-15-2009 Received welcome notice after calling USCIS 6/11

06-16-2009 Received SS card

06-20-2009 Green Card received
