guys...can u all plz help....i sent packet 3.5 on January 12th to embassy...so when will i get the interview date for my fiancee!!??? also who do i call to make sure the embassy got the docs???

I would call the embassy...I would think your interview would be sometime in early march...

^ yap as far as I know they schedule interviews during the first two weeks of each month. Each month they schedule the for the next month's appointments. So they might schedule it during the first 10 days of Feb and you hopefully will get the interview letter (email from NVC) during the first 2 weeks of Feb... So think about March for the interview date. Our case left NVC on Dec 31st and I got appointment letter (email) on Jan 10th. The interview has been scheduled for February 17th.

So NVC is still involved at this stage? I thought once they give the petition to Islamabad it's up to the embassy to schedule the interview?

Take it as one step. They schedule your interview and forward it to embassy. Hows tht?

sallam everyone,

i need to ask a question that those who call DOS does they get a hold of them fast or waiting time is longer now than waiting time was 2 weeks before ?

we have been trying to call DOS and their lines are bussy as they are working on Haiti People applications and i have heard in the news that DOS giving visas to haitian people who lost their relatives in earthquake there .

Take proof of eng. w/you i.e. pics, etc ... it's not a difficult interview...

oops today is the 8th? well GL

abbe yaar ye kia hai....as much as i have researched and read...I might as well become an immigration lawyer:P...and even now its not clear...but I guess it doesn't really matter who schedules the interview..as long as its quick....

I am thinking "forget all this, quit my job, go live with my wife until visa=life set"

embassy schedules k-1 interviews... NVC has been scheduling all others (this is a recent change)

Dear VJ members,

By the Grace of Allah Almighty, my wife finally received her visa after two and a half years of Administrative Processing. I hope that our case was unique and nobody here bear what we did. Believe me that patience is all one can do and endure the distance and time as best as possible. Hang in there and best wishes to you all. We will keep you in our prayers always. Thanks for all the support and advice this group has given to us over the years.
