any more feed back on calling pakistan???

I just signed up with New Era Telecom, it's the same/sister company as United Telecom, about $38 to signup(refundable) and then it's 4.5 cents minute to Pakistan, small connection fee of .39cents. Sound quality has been fine so far. They also have plenty of promotions when you sign up, including for the person who refers you.

Best most economical courier to Pakistan from USA? Would you trust USPS, UPS or Fedex, or DHL? Of course, I don't want to pay an arm and a leg

Hi Guys....

I will really appreciate if you guys could answer my question or give me some advice....

I got email from NVC informing that the interview has been scheduled for my husband (Alham du lillah). along with some other documents they have also mentioned original police certificate to be brought to the interview. But NVC has our original police certificate. How do we get another one since my husband says getting police certificates again and again is not an easy task in Pakistan. what do we do?

I would really appreciate if you guys could throw any advice

Once again congradulations. What you should do is email ISL at pakIVquery@state.gov and explain the situation with the original police certificate and see what they say, usually they will direct you on what to do.

My thoughts on this is, if NVC has it, they should include it in the case and send it to ISL so maybe you should call NVC before emailing Islamabad and verify this information with them.

Guys i have quick question, what is the number to retrieve IRS tax transcripts, if someone knows which menu options that woudl be helpful. I have not done this in a while, does anybody know if you have to speak to a person to get the transcripts now or is it still the automated system. Thanks a bunch in advanced.

I dont know, why they are asking you to show them embassy letter. I got our without asking a single question. Please try hard and tell them that you have to proved them, talk to a Police officer and explain him. don go with these police man words.

As far as I know, Police report need to submit with DS230. When completing DS230, Just need to sign only part 1, part 2 fill out, just dont sign.

Follow the link and find Docs list.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

ye log buhat tang karte hain yaaar....they asked my wifes dad the same thing...they want the embassy letter or else they can't give us the police certificate....it doesnt make sense cuz people who apply for jobs in big companies in karachi have to have this certificate otherwise they won't get hired......basically its not the embassy letter they want, they want quaid-e-azam....I am afraid to say this to my sasur..I just hope they get the police certificate..and I hope all those who are waiting to get one from pak get it, inshaAllah.

See here is the confusion. Im not sure if embassy scheduled the interview in the past. My lawyer kept on arguing with me tht the interview will be scheduled by the embassy and I argued that it will be scheduled by NVC. Guess what I was right. NVC shceduled our interview. So Im guessing NVC schedules all the interview or may be depending on what kinda case is it.

abbe yaar ye kia hai....as much as i have researched and read...I might as well become an immigration lawyer:P...and even now its not clear...but I guess it doesn't really matter who schedules the interview..as long as its quick....

I am thinking "forget all this, quit my job, go live with my wife until visa=life set"
