Q regarding police certificate

is it true that now u have to send the beneficiary police cert w/I129f ?

cuz i remember v werre instructed to get it on packet 3 /3.5 n had to show them the letter to obtain it.

plz advise,

NO, My fiance got her Police clearance weeks before we received packet 3. I had to make her do it cause she was moving back to Lahore.

DS157 is only for male beneficiary. You are petitioner... Its not for u.

thats rite. we tried to get it after NOA2 but they wouldn't give us without packet 3. So we had to wait till we got our packet

man, u shuld b thankful n glad that u guys will have the visa in hand in matter of weeks and at leastu know that ...there r ppl like me waiting for NO REASON/fault for over a yr! n dunno how much longer v will b waiting... now now dun b like that=)

It takes 7-10 days to get the police certificate. You dont have to send the letters but like I said the more evidence u have the better IMO.

What would be our reason of not sending the passport? It's just a pakitani passport, i don't think anyone wants it.

Anyway, I wanted to add are we to send actual passport as stated on the letter? I am very confused. They seem to be doing things different for 2009.

Just send in a copy of the passport every page from front to back and take the passport with you to the interview cause you will need your passport for the medical and you have to schedule the medical prior to the interview.

Thats strange. Does it really say to send actual/or original passport? As far as I know you send the photocopy & thats what we did.

DS156 (consist of 2 forms) All questions must be answered

DS230 Part 1 (consist of 1 form) All questions must be answered

DS156K (for fiance only) All questions must be answered

DS157(think this is for males only may have changed not sure ) All questions must be answered

Original signed, and notarized 1-134 from the sponsor

Copy of sponsor's federal tax returns for past years ( I only sent in 1 yr but 3 years are recommended

Original job letter proof of employment on company letter head from the sponsor

Proof of sponsor's assets (if applicable) only needed if using to meet income requirements

Passport valid 12months beyond the anticipated interview date (send copy from front to back) take original to interview.

Medical exam report ( take to interview)

2 2x2 photos on white background (you will need these for the medical) Im not sure if we sent 2 back in the packet or not just do it to be safe. but i know you need 2 for the medical exam too.

Police certificate.

Please remember this is for K-1. k-3 only needs marriage certificate included same as the above directions 1 original if in urdu and 1 copy and then the translation English original and 1 copy
