Thanks,

there is no requirment for the petitioner to attend the interview , k-1 or k-3 , cr/ir or any other category.

What does a pink slip mean? no AP, right?

They kept our passport and told us that we will be able to pick up the stamped passport from the amex office in two weeks? can it takemore than two weeks?

thank you

To each is a goal to which God turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good.

Wheresoever ye are, God will bring you Together. For God Hath power over all things.

No.You guys are not in AP.

As far as stamped passport from Amex is concerned then it can take 2 to 4 weeks.

But no prob. and dont need to be worry abt it, you are done.

Best of luck for ur upcoming visa.

hey guys!

we passed the interview with a flying green color! haha...

2-3 months of AP

What does the green paper stand for, the blue paper and the pink paper?

Islamabad does not usually use pink other than the pinkish colored token that is given to some applicants after their interview. The forms are usually green, greenish blue, blue or white and all have the same wordings on them. The Phillipines have the pink sheets and it makes a difference as to whether they are appoved or not. USE Islamabad does not have a color coding as to which ones are approved or denied. My husband got two sheets for AP one was white and another was blue.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Ok wife is going to the interview on Aug 3rd...

Question on fees:

it states:

"In addition you will be required to pay an IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PROCESSNG FEE of us$400 or the equivalent in pakistani rupees for per person. If $380 fee has already been paid on your behalf at the national visa center in the united states before 31st December 2007, you do not require to pay additional fee.

If you are applying for a V, K3 or K1 "finance(e)" visa, your fee is $131 or equivalent in Pak Rupees for per person.

Please bring the exact change."

So my question is do i pay $131 and $400 or just $131? I am applying for K3

thanks...

I had my wife's IR1 case completed with NVC on 07-10-2009 (Found through NVC Automated system). I called NVC and the nice lady told me that there were no interview dates available at islamabad for the month of August 2009.

They schedule the interviews during the first two weeks of every month for the interviews to be conducted in the following month, so I should call back in the third week of August to find the interview date.

I am surprised, that it will take more than a month just to schedule the interview date. I want to be with her at the interview time but unless I know the date, I cannot plan ahead.

Is anybody out there who had the same experience?

Anyway keep it up. Nice forum.
