Thank you Everyone for all your well wishes. (F) Waheed has booked his flight and he will be coming home on June 3rd. In 11 days I get to see my wonderful hubby again. I can't even believe it. His POE will be in Chicago.

I want to thank everyone here on VJ for your complete support through all of this. You all are great.

When Waheed got his visa we just sat there looking at each other like... a deer in headlights. It is kind of a strange feeling. We spent so many months not allowing ourselves to get to happy about anything and suddenly ... we can be happy. I think we were both just stunned. We knew the visa was coming but once it is actually in your hand.. it is kind of freaky. But now we are Super Happy. Some people have asked me how it feels to finally have our visa after this long wait. Well, it feels like a giant weight is taken off my shoulder and I can allow myself to be happy again. After Waheed and I were married and I left him in Pakistan, it was like someone pushed the PAUSE button on my life. Now, we can push the START button and get on with our life together.

Thanks again for all your support and I hope you all get to experience getting your visa very soon. Inshallah. :luv:

peace

hi all

Its been about 18 days that I have sent my passport for but haven't received it as yet. I called USE some 4 days ago and was told that you will get your passport back with visa in 3 or 4 days and I called AMEX today but they had no news of my passport till today, so still waiting and anxious.

Cheers

syed_ 05,

The embassy is understaffed and overworked. You must give them time to get the visa/passport back to you and it can take weeks. When you called you got a canned response and sometimes their estimates are not always on target. Relax and they will get the visa to you as soon as they are able. Posting it over and over will not get you a different response than the one's you have already gotten previously.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.
