Walikum Salaam Cindi,

Mian's Naturalization paperwork was sent in February right before the 3 year anniverary from the POE date. We were CR-1 and did not have to AOS. Glad to see your back from your trip back to Pakistan.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Hello all,

I am expecting my case to soon be completed at the NVC hopefully in a week or soish...

just curious to know how things are going lately, what the status with AP at the ISB consulate? Any personal experiences...?

Secondly, just read that once the case has been completed and NVC assigns an interview date, the embassy will not send anything? So is it NVC that mails the interview letter? (letter to enter embassy with)

any insights?

thanks

Hi all,

Have sent the documents that ISL requested on the 1st of May today, i.e. Updated police certificate from current area of residence, updated medical report from panel pyhsician and THE ORIGINAL PASSPORT via AMEX. Keeping my fingers crossed. Lets see what happens. Best of luck to all your brothers and sisters. God Bless. Cheers

hi and asslam o alaikum,

we recieved our visas today.right after 2 weeks of submitting the papers(affidavit of support by a joint sponsor, and birth certificate original etc) on the grounds of which we were refused visa on the day of interview.

the whole family(my parents and me and my brother) recieved the visas.

my prayers for all those who are still stuck in the process.i hate it

but there is still a little bit of confusion

they also gave us packages which we are not to open but to submitt at the airport we arrive at.just like we were not allowed to open medical papers.

can anybody tell us

is it normal???

Congratulations on getting visas. What kind of case did you apply for? I thought if you apply for parents, siblings can't come as dependants. If you apply for all, it takes siblings about 10 years while a year for parents.

Salam guys......

I just have a couple of questions for my hubby's interview

About How many pictures I should tell him to print.Does it has to be couple's pictures strictly or with whole families too?

Do they ask for proof of communication like chat, email, phone records? My husband doesnt want to print the any email or chat conversations as according to him,its our personal conversation.Do they reallly ask for it if so how do I convince him? Also how to get phone records from cellular phone companies in pak ,as I guess they dont send any bills ,it is just prepaid service.

Thanks a lot for ur help

Nothing is personal here since you have to prove 2 some1 that you both are married! you must forget your 'privacy' rights here!

You may take a small album with wedding pictures (group pics including) and other pictures. More the better.

Though he might not be asked for any other proofs but I must recommend that he takes along

-phone bills ; phone cards are not accepted. if he calls from cell his cell # must appear on your bill, send him your bills

-emails

-postal letters

-cards sent via postal service

-gifts receipts

it is better to take as many secondary proofs as possible though pics and marriage cert are primary.

good lucks

atk_721 sister!

I do agree with Revived sister.

Sibtain,

any news from ISL!?

Who hooo I got a ten yr multiple entry visa for Pakistan!!! i can only stay for a yr @ a time though.

LOL.. congrats!

Yesterday is history, Tomorrow's a mystery. Today is a gift; that'swhy they call it "the present".

hi all!

Congratulations to everyone who just got their visas!!!! and best of luck to all those still waiting!!!

Plesae answer these two questions, I will be very thankful!!!

1) Does Police Certificate from Pakistan has to be attested from Ministry of Forigen Affairs in Islamabad before it is submitted to NVC??

2) After NVC completes the processing and gives a date for interview for CR1 Visa, will my wife still get something from the embassy??

(Islamabad embassy is a Appointment Post now and NVC gives an interview date, so my assumption is that after NVC gives a date for interview and mails/emails interview letter, Islmbad embassy won't sent anything to my wife, but plesae correct me if I am wrong!!!!)

Dear!

No need to get Foriegn Affair attestation.

Islamabad USEM won't send any thing.(As per my knowldge goes..)

Best of luck

Thank you so much!! Best of luck to you too!!!!!!

Yeah Sibtain is right.....no need for attestation and ISL does not send any thing

Thanks!!! good luck to you!!!

Yes NVC assigns the interview date and email you interview notification .AP @ ISL .....most likely :( .Read somewhere on VJ,a memebr was bombarded with like 30 or so question during interview and got visa after 8 days .so it is pretty unpredictable.Usually they are linent with females.

Best of Luck Syed_05.......keep us posted

Thanks everyone (L)

We are NOT so patiently waiting for that illusive VISA. :P

I just have a question Kris, how did u sign up to get updates from ISL embassy or did u emailed them inquiring abt ur case and they r getting back to u now...

The Embassy does not send me updates .... but I have been writing them emails every two weeks until they respond to me. And when they don't respond .. I write again. Then I call DOS and tell them they are not responding to me. :P How can we get any information if no one wants to respond us. They are always telling me to "please wait" I can't wait .. I am not a patient person. I think if they would give us all just a little more information we could be more patient.

Thanks again everyone... we are just so happy and excited.

peace

~kris
