syed_05,

You will need to submit the original passport if it is still in your possession. They would not need copies of it and think the messenger may not of understood them. Police reports are only good 3 - 6 months and if they asked for updated information you need to provide them from all places just like you did originally. Revived was telling you correctly in her post and the medical is good for one year from the date it took place.

Read mary's quote above=) so we both did respond to your Q=)

good lucks

Yesterday is history, Tomorrow's a mystery. Today is a gift; that'swhy they call it "the present".

Congrats Kris

she is sooo cute...God bless......that's what they say back home that girls bring luck to their families :)

Best of luck

What they say is so TRUE ! ! This has been my Golden Week. First, Gabby is born on Monday. Second, My birthday was on Tuesday. Third, the Embassy sent email requesting Waheed's passport on Wednesday. :D "Gabby" brought lots of luck to us atk_721. :luv:

Hi,

Have written to the ISL embassy and they have responded by saying that following will be required:

Original Updated Police Certificate from Rawalpindi.

- Original Updated Medical Report from panel physician.

- Original Passport.

So will try to get these things, the police certificate does take a couple of days so hoping to send all three things in a week's time. Can someone tell me from his/her experience what follows when I send these to the embassy. Am anxious to hear so please respond with your experiences.

Cheers.

Syed

Took my fiance exactly 2 weeks to get his passport pickup call! If you are closer to ISL it might take less time! since you r getting pindi's police i assume u r closer to isl? i dunno pak's geography but i think pindi is close to isl

good lucks,

NVC sent my K1 package to Islamabad on Mar 31st, but My Fiance still have not received packet 3 information o submit documents.. It has been five weeks. I am wondering how long has it taken for you guys to receive initial packet once it has been sent to Islamabad? Should I contact the embassy?

Thanks

Contact the embassy since they may of sent a packet but to the wrong address. This has happened in the past with my husband and others. Good luck.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Thank you for your responses. Infact, I did call last night after staying up late as they only answer phones between 12:30 and 3:30 PM Pakistand time. I was surprised to get in touch with live person in about 3 minutes. They did send the packet 3 to my Finance via CTS courier on April 8th, but she never got it. They will send another one today.

Don't mean to barge in this thread  but I had a question for all of you. I need to send a parcel to Karachi, Pakistan from here in the USA. It contains items such as clothes and makeup...for personal gifts, not commercial use and the box probably weighs around 7-8 lbs total. What is the best method to send something from the USA to Karachi? The cheapest and most dependable method? DHL is quite expensive, does anyone have experience with USPS or another service? I would appreciate any advice from anyone. Just to add, the materials are not time-sensitive, I am concerned with dependability and price only.

Thanks in advance!

P.S Good luck to anyone interviewing and congrats to all those that have gotten approved and out of AP!!!

Thanks for the reply Fire w wind!!! I hope you have a great time in Karachi. My fiance is from there, but he is interviewing in London for his K-1 visa as he is a student there. I was following your case a while ago here in the ISL embassy thread and I wish you and your husband a lot of happiness and hope that things turn out great for you InshaAllah. Actually my future sis-in-law is getting married and I do not think that both my fiance and I will make it to the wedding so I had bought some gifts that I wanted to send to her now. The wedding is in the first week of July so there is a lot of time for the parcel to get there. I have used USPS before for mailing cards and large envelopes to Karachi and I never had a problem but I am hesitant to use USPS for this parcel. I will look at the rates FedEx has and then decide on what to do. Once again, wish you the best, stay safe and happy both of you!!! :star: :star: :star:
