Does anyone know what's the age requirements for administrative process? I heard all males between certain age group are required to go through the process. Not younger or older than that group.

I want to apply for my in laws and if father in law falls under that group, I would rather file seperate case for mother in law and father in law instead of filing them in a same envelope and requresting both cases to be processed together.

9 FAM 406 AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR NAME CHECKS

Unless otherwise specified in the "Special Clearance and Issuance

Procedures" for the country in question, name checks, when required, must

be conducted only on applicants between the ages of 16 and 80.

Now u can understand that age requirements.

Sibtain

however this does not mean that under 16 or over 80 will not be scurintized.. it's soley upto CO to determine that!

also AP is not only name check, it includes various processings therefore applicant might b under 16 or over 80 and require further processings (other than name check!)

Dear sister!

If u will read it carefully then u will come to know that i did not write this info my self its its the info from Department of state.

Parying for everyone!

Sibtain

My point was that AP is not only name check, while your reference is about name checks only. One under 16 or over 80 might still be put under AP due to some other reason than 'name check'

I am not here to contradict you specifically, I apologize if i have lead you to believe that.

Congrats to everyone who got their visas and those who have heard good news. Kris very much congrats on your new grandchild!

As far as Samir goes, we are still here and I wont leave until late June now. He is not on AP-I called to ask several times to the embassy and the DOS and they said no he is not on AP. So, I guess any day now or whenever they decide to stop making us wait.

Oh, I finally heard from Fairha and Zain. Zain got his visa already and it only took a few days. Is this because he was in the Navy? I am wondering why he got his visa so much faster than others. Anyway, she wanted me to inform you all since she has no internet access currently. She phoned me other night.

Ok, take care!

:-)

I wonder why they did not ask for an updated police report since it has been 9 months since Waheed's interview
