Fire w wind, they would never say that no one is working on your case, and thats what have been listening from them but there is no movement in my case, anyways it also depend on ones luck. and i know now for sure that i have such a bad-luck :crying:. hope someone is REALLY WORKIN on your case. and yeah if they have asked for the medical papers DO send them asap and also make the congressional inquiry and also show those medical reports to the person who will make the inquiry on your behalf. its my personal thinking that embassy do have some power to ask the dos to ask other agencies which are involve in the security clearance to give the results fasters. i could be wrong but... yeah.

Good Luck

hey wat's up w/your signature???

Congrats to all that have gotten your visas...Kris, good luck with your process...it sounds like it is almost over. I cant imagine how difficult this must be on you and Waheed. I am off to Karachi tomorrow for 2+ weeks and will be bringing my amazing soon to be wife back with me. Thanks to all from this site with your valuable info that has helped us along the way. I will make sure i write about our experience going through immigration at JFK when she comes back. I dont see it being an issue as she has been to the US about 10 times already and has never had any problems. Lastly, I posted her interview experience on the Islamabad Consulate feedback page for anyone that will be having your interview soon. hope it helps.

Yaar,

I only have one thing to say about JFK immigration, (they are A.. holes). I am sorry to use such foul language but I have traveled alot in my life and only twice i entered through JFK. Both times, they held me there for 3 to 4 hours to do a back ground check.

I have been living in U.S my whole life, yet i am pulled out of line at JFK simply because I am a Pakistani, Male, between 20 and 30 years old. I am sure it fits the profile for the "he must sit at the sideline for 3-4 hours and think about why his parents are Paki's".

I love this country but I don't like the way I am treated at JFK.

Bottom line, I would avoid JFK, if i were you. I have never had any problem entrying U.S. at any other airport.

Just an advice.

Shan.

:help: I can't sleep knowing that in less than 2 weeks I have to go back home without my husband! I don't know what to do! I am so upset right now! Why did we get AP? This stinks majorly because I was expecting him to be able to fly home with me. He had even quit his job (a really good job-which is very hard to find in his area). I am actually very ticked off and losing sleep! What is there we can do to track this stupid AP? They told him 3-6 months is it really going to take that long? Here it is everyone else is sleeping and I am up researching stupid AP. I HATE AP!!!!!!!!

Maysa :crying:

"Waiting for the day when we can start enjoying our lives under one roof.....please bestow your blessings upon us dear God".

Visa in hand on June 22, 2009! :-)

Hey sister, i hope you are good. yaar how this waiting period that you are going through NOW is worst than AP. atleats you know you have cleared the main hurdle, now its just the embassy taking time. whenever my wife call dos, they only say pending AP and nothing else. they don't even say its pending name check like how they told KRIS and don;t even tell that when the last time someone updated some notes or.... man i don't even know if someone ever worked on our case  whatever.

hopefully you, Kris and sibtan would get the visas soon.

Happy Easter to all Christain moderaters and members.

When I would call DOS, for a long time that is all they would say to me is AP. But then I learned to get crafty and creative to get them to give me more information. But it really didnt matter because we were still waiting. AP is very hard, especially when it takes a long time. I watch everyone on VJ with very long AP get mad, sad, angry, and then they go numb. Waheed would tell me he is BLANK. You dont have to feel anything when you are blank.

Now DOS tell us we will be getting visa very soon. I still do not believe them and I think someone is playing a sick joke on us. How long is "very soon" to them? It could be next week or it could be a year from now. Or maybe it is just a lie. We do not know. Now, we are waiting like crazy people again. Waheed is sleeping with his cell phone and checking it ten times a day to make sure he did not miss a call. He said it is better to be BLANK.

I watched Revived wait three weeks and then embassy people wake up and call. And I think it will happen for us too. Ybutt20, you have been waiting a very long time and I hope and pray you will come from the blackhole of AP very soon. Sibtain, my friend, I pray for you too, every day.

When DOS tell us this... it gave us hope again. But we all know that the only day that really matters is the day we have Visa in Hand. :luv:
