Thank you everyone for all the Mubaraks, We highly appriciate it.

Today, We simply wanted to share that we recieved the physical passport with the visa.

We hope you all get your's soon.

We have recieved our Visa, however; we aren't going anwhere, we will be here on the blog to stay through your journeys. May Allah make your's a smooth journey too. (Ameen)

Shan.

Congrats on getting the passport...my fiancee had her interview last friday and is still waiting on her passport. she is starting to freak out (actually she has never stopped freaking out since we applied back in august) that something is wrong. we still have time as im flying over to karachi next week to spend some time with her family before her and i return. anyone have any idea as to why there would be a holdup in getting her passport back if they told her that she was approved at her interview??

I wouldn't be surprised knowing it's Islamabad! Also, sometimes the AmEx people just don't call (I know my wife kept waiting for her interview letter, and they were just not calling and she finally called and turned out they had had it for a few days). I hope she'll get it soon :-)

i am surprised that Shan rec'vd passport w/in few days. that is why i asked him how did it happen so fast? did he visit the embassy himself to pickup?! or his timeline is not accurate! i m v surprised!

Kris,

m praying for you both...

u n ybutt r next in line.

good lucks,

Thanks Revived... AP has got to the worst experience of my life. And I have lived a full life with many trials and tribulations. What makes AP the worst is because there is nothing I can do to get passed it. Every other situation that has arisen in my life, I was able to do things to make it better. But this... there is nothing that can be done. Our lives held hostage in the hands of others.

Revived.. you amongst a few others have had to endure a much longer AP than the rest of us. I have to give you kudo's for being a tower of patience. Truly an inspiration. I know that shortly you will have your "VISA IN HAND" and you can move on with your life. My best wishes to you both. :luv:

peace

~kris

Salam all,

Please except my apologies for not being able to reply to your posts earlier. I ran a marathon over the weekend and I was sleeping for hours after that, therefore I couldn’t check the posts.

Yes, It is true. We received our passport in 3 days. I was surprised to see it too because I have read that at times it take up to three weeks for people in Karachi to receive their passports.

but I think the reason may have been because I live 5 miles away from the embassy and they simply hand deliver the passport to our local AmEx facility in Islamabad.

My advice would be to simply (take no tension). The passport will somehow make it to our homes.

Shan.
