If the teacher doesn't have a criminal record (as most don't) and keeps their personal life entirely separate from their professional life (as many do), there's no reason why a religious school shouldn't/couldn't hire them.

So you are suggesting a "don't ask don't tell" policy for places that would object to transgendered people.

Sounds like you want these folks to deny being

who they want to be.

Tsk Tsk.

You're not going to get the Gold star from the Liberal crowd talking like that PD.

there's a difference in denying their preferences and keeping privacy.. being gay doesn't mean they have to yell it all around, even straight people, specially in schools, are very private about their lives (exceptions of course of some dumb ones)..

Why do I feel like I am drawing attention to one point, yet the replies keep avoiding it?

Here, let me try one more time.

How do you hide the fact that you are transgender... when you apply for a job?

The replies keep avoiding it because you fixated on the smallest issue on the link that was posted - and within that you're fixating on ridiculous minutia.

Why is it important to you what gays and transsexuals get up to? What does it matter to you?

In this article you'll find that Obama is using more than the White House Web Page to stay in touch with the people and his view point on having a more in touch and transparent government through technology.

Obama refuses to surrender Blackberry

Jan 16 07:24 PM US/Eastern

Despite legal and security hurdles, president-elect Barack Obama says he has a plan to retain his beloved Blackberry once he moves into the White House next week. Interviewed by CNN Friday, Obama said the smartphone was among the tools that he would use to stay in touch with real Americans and avoid becoming trapped inside the presidential "bubble."

"I think we're going to be able to hang on to one of these. My working assumption, and this is not new, is that anything I write on an email could end up being on CNN," he said.

"So I make sure to think before I press 'send'," he said of his Blackberry, which was an ever-present fixture on his belt or in his hand on the campaign trail.

Obama did not divulge just how he will overcome legal constraints, given the requirement of the post-Watergate Presidential Records Act of 1978 to keep a record of every White House communication.

Nor did he say how he would persuade his Secret Service protectors that the Blackberry does not pose a security risk, for instance if it is hacked over the air.

But Obama, who succeeds the unpopular George W. Bush on Tuesday, said the phone was a valuable part of a wider strategy to escape the White House fishbowl.

"It's just one tool among a number of tools that I'm trying to use, to break out of the bubble, to make sure that people can still reach me," he said.

"If I'm doing something stupid, somebody in Chicago can send me an email and say, 'What are you doing?'

"I want to be able to have voices, other than the people who are immediately working for me, be able to reach out and send me a message about what's happening in America."

The mobile device dilemma may have inadvertently been solved on Friday, as Obama's Blackberry tumbled from his belt as he got out of his limousine and onto his plane in Washington.

A Secret Service agent hurried to pick up the pieces, gathering the Blackberry and battery off the frigid tarmac.

You think may it's a small point but most people do not.

If Homosexual Marriage has been outlawed by State Constitution.. nearly every time people are given the chance to vote on it... what makes you think People will except Transgender teachers?

You ask "how does it effect me"?

I wasn't aware that an issue had to knock on my door to take a stand on it.

This was too often the logic when they rounded up Jews.

As it turns out I have a Child in school and I would imagine grand kids too one day. I also have a small business and know many other business owners who "might not" chose to employ a man dressed as a woman.

Clearly this is Obama's goal, to normalize even the most extreme fringes of the Gay movement.

Q: Since Obama has such affection for normalizing Trans-gender people (by force of fed. law), I wonder.... Of the hundreds of meaningful positions he has filled around the White House, how many Tranny types has he hired?

It is in this thread. You chose to fixate on this issue - as if that was the most important point to be drawn from the OP post.

I don't think its particularly important - nor do I think that your scare-mongering extrapolations have much basis in tangible reality. You've chosen to fixate on the "most extreme finges of the Gay movement" quite apart from the sense of what was actually intended.

That's a bit of a hysterical overreaction to the idea that laws preventing workplace discrimination should be extended to include sexual orientation. I don't really see why that's so outrageous...

Did you actually click the link that Olivia provided?. . . I guess you are boycotting looking because it comes from the 'evil' Obama administration and you might be contaminated.

Uh, yeah I did, I clicked on the the whitehouse link. I'm not sure if "contact us" of the white house is the same as the liason office but I did offer my 500 word comment. So as usual, you're wrong. My comment was a serious one and it had nothing to with an gay issues. I doubt I'll get a reply but I wasn't expecting much from the White House anyway.

I already made my suggestion to the White House. If I get something other than the standard form response, I'll be impressed.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/eop/opl/

Al Gore when he was VP talked about the "Information Superhighway" after he invented the Internet and reinventing government so Obama is not breaking any new ground except in this own mind.

What do you all think of the changes?

If the only thing being debated is gay rights then it's a waste of time. I could of at least 100 other issues which are more important.

Learned later on that one of my favorite teachers in high school, a male, was homosexual, was a very good teacher and he never tried to stick his thing up my butt, still have fond memories of him.

Such wonderful memories of high school.

My question was based on your very own words highlighted. Had you clicked on the link you would know that this is absolutely not the case. Your implication is very clear, that this new site is worthless, a waste of time because the only things that are on there are issues of no importance. You are totally wrong.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I am sure your 500 word comment will be considered with as much seriousness as it was written and will be judged on its merit, not on the basis of your expectations of the White House.

Al Gore may have spoken about it that doesn't mean he knew how to use it. Obama made it work. The very fact that he is the president prove that it is not in his own mind.

I was referring to posters on this site not the White House website. It was obvious the website was a bore because few here chose to mention it or care to send a comment.

Ok, feel free to post when it becomes known if any suggestions came from the website and changed the course of policy.

Given that Danno hijacked the thread in post #2 with that gay rights stuff, I'd say what was obvious to you is rather presumptuous to others.

 What bizarre logic. It has to be boring because of the way people have posted in this thread. You are hilarious.

As to how many people have sent a comment, I have no idea, again, not mentioning that one has doesn't mean one hasn't.

Your last comment is too ridiculous to address.
