Nessa....getting so close and congrats on the leave!

I agree it's very hard at first with the sleep, and the baby takes awhile before they have their days/night in order. As a newborn especially they seem to sleep through anything, talking, loud noises, etc. I remember trying to keep Kavi awake for pics when he was a couple weeks old and he just couldn't do it, his eyes would fall sleepy in no time and he'd be asleep. Now getting Kavi to fall asleep takes awhile sometimes!! lol

Hmmm... :( still not quite there. A few nights here and there he'll sleep from 10pm-5am, but not every night. He just wakes up crying automatically. He doesn't stay awake long tho thankfully. My mom said my sis did this until 18mos, so I am waiting until he's 18mos. Then it betterrrrr stop!! lol

Girls..

Yesterday I had a kind of a good night, Sofia just woke up twice, one at 2am and then at 4am but the second time she didn't go back to sleep until 5.08am, then woke up again at 8am and my mom took her (Love my mommy!) so I could sleep a little longer. I know is goig to take a few more weeks or maybe months until she sleeps through the night but is so hard, I'm a Zombie...

She looks more alert, she wakes up for longer periods of time and just stares at everybody, she looks like if she is gaining weight too and she definitely looks like her daddy, nothing like me :crying: .

Nessa@ how are yoy feeling?? you have everything ready for little Ben??? how is daddy doing? is he nervous?

Twil@ Cute, cute, cute pics!!

They say that about sons looking like moms, etc. But Kavi definitely looks way more like his dad than me. I look like my dad, but my sis looks like my mom. I don't trust that saying hehe.

Babies change so much, the way Kavi looks now is very different than when he was a newborn, though all along he has looked more like Sujeet.

My brother looks exactly like our dad, you can't tell them apart if you are looking at two pictures at the same age. I look more like our mom but have some things of our dad as well (mainly the eyes)

yay for less that a week for Nessa

Saludos,

Caro

I have posted this before but I am gonna write this again WE ARE MAMMALS...and NO ... absolutely NOOOOO mammal leaves their baby without any defense in it's ´cave´ so alone and all by itself. It might sound corny but all your baby needs is YOU and the ´I don`t want her to sleep in our bed´ is complete rubbish. At least for some months give baby time to adjust. It's been with mommy the past nine month and now she's supposed to suddenly sleep, eat and live on a schedule?? Sorry...I just don't understand why in the world you don't go with your instincts and let that little one sleep close to you.

Vent over.

Drew slept next to me for the first 5 months, but then he decided he wanted his crib. I wasn't ready to let him go and it took me several nights to sleep peacefully without him. But it was on his terms, so I dealt with it. I didn't care what anyone said to me about the (potentially) negative impacts of co-sleeping. I wasn't comfortable leaving my baby in his bed all night, so I didn't. When he was ready, I let him go. Just like Eveline said, TRUST YOUR INSTINCT.

On another note....Drew just turned ONE!!!

ONE DAY AT A TIME....

Hi Ladies!!!

Well, it took a little time but I'm back. :star:

Things have been crazy to say the least. After 3 days in labor, I had to have an emergency c-section to save Enzo. He is doing fantastic now but he was in the NICU for 5 days. I could go into the drama and the trauma of it all, but I don't want to scare anyone. So for now, let's just say that I have been recovering nicely - sore sometimes but it is quite manageable. Furthermore, because I was a walking fool for most of my pregnancy I was able to get my footing quickly. It has helped tremendously because I just want to walk and move about, although I still take it easy. :innocent: I weighed myself yesterday and I'm down 25lbs from when I went in to deliver him - my OB will be beside himself.

Enzo is too cute and we just love to stare at him - sometimes we can't believe that he's ours. He was 6lbs 15ozs and 20.5 inches long.

Thank you for all the well wishes, prayers and thoughts - I appreciate every single one of them.

P.S. - Caro, I think the Argentine-American baby looks pretty good. :blush::whistle:
