Well if they forget to put the screen up and you're not asleep you could ask for it to be put up.

I'm sure it will all be fine, shoo those bad dreams away!

Glad to hear on the negative exams Nessa!

P.S. I love fresh tomato sauce on my pasta, don't like the Jar still either.

@Chrissy: argh...actually I wanted to see everything and I asked DH to look and see what they were doing and then tell me. He told me that they took my uterus out and cleaned it out. It was pink with a little yellow (I guess a little fat??) and then he had to sit down again cause he couldn't take it  .

I'm sure they'll put the screen up for you.

@Nessa: I don't know how long you have to fast. I guess it's nothing to eat and only water after midnight but you might have to ask on the l&d station or maybe your doctor at your next appointment.

Hey breastfeeding mamas--how's the milk supply holding up? Anna and Eveline, are you hanging in there? I made it to 6 months exclusively breastfeeding, but now my milk supply seems to be dwindling--probably a combination of starting solids and stopping pumping in the middle of the night (6 months of sleep deprivation seemed like enough!). Now it seems like I can hardly pump 3 ounces at a time while at work  . So, I have started supplementing with a little formula. I love breastfeeding and would like to continue until at least 12 months, but am fed up with pumping...oh, to be able to be a stay-at-home mom!

I'm still fully breastfeeding. Allie is refusing solids. I would feed her veggies if she didn't gag everything back out. It just looks and feels wrong when I give her food. My boobs are still in explosion mode when I wake up in the morning. Allie started sleeping through the night and I have time to fill up my 'stash'.

Congratulations for ebf 6 whole months and maintaining a supply with pumping. I think you're doing a great job momma. A lot of moms give up because their work schedule is too hectic or the pumping is getting too stressful (which is fully understandable I have great respect for all those women who juggle work, daily life and pumping). You can really give yourself a pat or two on the back for sticking with it for so long.

Nessa@ I didn't eat for about 20 hours, I was afraid that "something" else would come out but I was lucky. Before the baby came I had this urge to push thinking that I need to go to the bathroom but the doctor said that it was a normal feeling, it was the baby trying to come out.

My breast are huge, my girls look gigantic and I have plenty of milk, I'm happy about it. And I'm so glad I got the pump too, it helps alot.

About the food, I'm enjoying my mommy's food!!!

About my weight, OMG, it's crazy I lost 16 pounds in 1 week, my belly is super tiny now, I guess thta going to the gym helped alot. I'm not suppoused to go to the gym for 6 weeks so I put my membership on freeze :crying:

Take care girls!

It is a normal feeling and when I felt it in labor with Adam I actually told the nurse to go get the bedpan for me, I had to poo :lol: . She jsut said "Let me check you again hon, sounds like you're ready to push" and sure enough I was oh so ready.

Same with Allie but not as intense for some reason. I think with her I had one long contraction and I pushed her out, I don't remember any 'relax' time during that phase...

Ohhh engorgement. Isn't it a wonderful thing. My babies like to feed only on one side at a time so I was lopsided a lot but what can you do.

Just a tiny little bit of advise Vi. IF you are engorged a lot, don't pump until your girls are empty because that is just gonna tell your body to make more milk. If you leave it alone or just hand express that will help you get your supply decrease a little and just make as much as Sofia needs. The first three months are usually crazy and then it gets easier. I felt like a cow for the most part, having letdowns at random places like a Walmart register ... Suddenly I started leaking and I usually forgot those pads (well, I hated them to be honest) so I walked with my arms arcoss my chest or something. I must have looked like the crazy lady

I see Missbollinger lurking around here...are you back already or was it just false alarm?

@ Carolyn: Pumping is often less effective than a baby, so you might get less there. I had a dip in supply last week, but with drinking more fluids, mostly nursing tea, it went back up. I'm pretty lopsided too as Jona only ever eats one side. I cannot imagine how hard it is with pumping at work etc - respect :) If you feel that you need some further help, I would contact LLL or a lactation consultant. They always are a great resource!

@ Evi: Yikes, seriously, ketchup on steak :P;)

Ketchup is nice, I like it in certain things, but ketchup on everything sounds like you only like the taste of ketchup, not of the foods you're putting it on. :P

I guess it depends on how much milk you'll have. I've seen women who try to breastfeed but the milk goes down quickly and before long the milk is all gone, and boobs come back to normal.

Yes, they get bigger but only until your milk supply is established. Get a comfortable bra that you can wear at night because when I say they get bigger, I don't mean SEXY bigger but very painful, hard bigger and you'll want to wear something that holds those heavy things in place  . I love the bras from Walmart but htey only come in white cotton or flesh colored, not very hot but very very comfy. Try to get a bra without wires and see if you tend to plugged milk ducts or not. I never had problems with it so I switched back to bras with underwire. The wire puts more pressure on your boobs so you might get a plugged duct.

It is crazy what happens to your body during pregnancy and right after...just weird :D .
