i also dont play soccer nor have a big butt.

I can sorta samba even if I don't like it, I don't play soccer, and my butt is HUGE.

Question for the preggo ladies, when you started trying, were you on the pill before or something else? How long after deciding to try did you get pregnant?

We were just using condoms and stopped. Haven't been on the pill for six or seven years. It took us 11 months of trying, but I'm old. :)

Hello Ladies,

I have been spotting for two days, tired, cold and crampy. I called teh doctor and they want me to come in for an ultra sound. After reading some information on the net this seems common. Well one stated 25%. I hate to spend money on Dr bills that are not needed. I guess I should go and be safe. see I just worked that out in one paragraph.

Thanks,

Please don't wait...you don't sound well. I'm not worried about the tiredness, but the spotting, cold and crampy sounds like you might have a fever running - if your cramps are on your side it might be an ectopic pregnancy. I hope you'll seek medical care - you can go to planned parenthood or to your local health department. Someone should be able to help you if you don't have money for medical assistance. Good luck. We weren't trying - I had been on the pill for more than 4 years. Can't believe it happened, but once we got over the shock we've been very pleased.

Stopped the pill and got pregnant two cycles later. We didn't try the first cycle (condoms) as the obgyn discouraged to try at the first cycle for some reason. Oh well.

@ Laura: We got pregnant on the first try too. But I wasn't on the pill, just natural planning.

update: had my 35 weeks appointment. lost 1.6 lbs in 2 weeks, which is normal, last time i gained 2.4. u never know when it's water weight.

anyway, baby Ben will be born on April 13th. We scheduled a c-section.

For those who don't know my story:

I broke 3 bones on my pelvis when I was 20. My doctor back then said I should never have natural birth because there was a chance it would break again. Today I had a serious talk with the doctor and she said if the doctor was concerned enough back when I broke it to say I shouldn't do it natural way, then she believes it's the best thing to do. We won't risk me breaking it again and spending another 6 months in bed without being able to do anything.

I think if there's 1% chance that would happen, we should have the c-section.

It would not be my choice if things were different. I'm 100% pro natural birth.

Wow Nessa...all the best for those last 4 weeks. At least you have a date now and there's no uncertainty, unless your little man comes earlier. I believe chnst broke her pelvis while pushing her Ben out. Not nice and very painful as far as I remember. Good luck.

Good luck Nessa! My mom broke her pelvis with my oldest sister - it happens rarely. She wasn't a big baby, it was happened with no apparent reason. Anyways, you don't have to worry about it! I'd still go with a birth plan for c-section so you can specify what you want/ don't want. I bet the c-section veterans can tell you some things that they were ok with and what they'd liked to have different.

Nessa, I'm so glad you know what will be happening. I think it is totally smart to have this surgery - do not take a risk with your general health when a c-section will do. I know it takes longer to recover, but this is too important. So excited for you!
