Chrissy, will you be breastfeeding? If so it might be much more practical for you to have the baby in a bassinet or pack n aplay for the first few months. Even if your not, I know Zaid slept much better in a bassinet in my room for a while. And it was a million times easier for me to bottle feed even. I would say to have Dylan try the bed, and if its not time, you will know, then he can continue in his crib for a while.

Staashi, I know im nuts. I really really miss "my baby" , you will see, they grow up waaay too fast. I think im gonna be one of those crazy ladies who has like 10 kids. No, but seriously. I definitly want 2 or 3 more, Sofyan does too. Its just a matter of getting to a more stable point in our life. We shall see. I have the kind of job where oprotunities to make more money is endless, so I keep saying, "oh when i get this promotion we will be much better off" and 3 promotions later, things seem the same. I guess life just kind of adapts to however much you make, which is why im not too concerned about having another baby, things always work out :)

You guys make cute babies, you should go for it

Nothing like having a sibling close in age to get in trouble with to be a happy kid :star:

Saludos,

Caro

Diapers are such an annoyance. I like Pampers, but not the prices. I also like Costco diapers, but Ilyas is between sizes (the 1-2 are too small, but the size 3 are huge!). The Target diapers are cheap, but run small and are stiff. So, I'm experimenting right now. I'm sure he'll grow into the size 3 diapers sooner or later.

Thank you for your comments about mu baby shower pictures it was a beautiful surprise :star: .

A lot of friends that have kids recommended us the Pampers Swadlers and we registered for 2 big boxes for the baby shower.

Staashi@ I feel you girl, I'm a few weeks behind you and have to say that if somebody offer me a c-section I'll go for it. I'm really tired and this belly is really heavy. I'm officially a penguin, I walk really funny. I'm going to the gym just once a week 'cause twice is too much (can you believe that?).

Yesterday I went for my drs appointment and everything went well, , the only thing I realized is that my doctor never tells me the size or weight of the baby, and when I asked her yesterday she didn't know what to answer. I have to go for a 'FETAL GROWTH" Test next week, similar to the one I had when I was 16 weeks, suppousely they will tell me eveything about the baby that day.

I've been complaining about some pain in between my legs, on the sides she checked me and said not to worry, my cervix still closed, so I have to stop listening or worrying when people tell me that the baby is coming much earlier 'cause they see that my belly is "low" , does it really have something to do with the baby coming earlier?? Cause now my mom wants to change her tkts and come earlier  .

girl is super late.. gotta go to sleep

hugs

Vi - I know how you're feeling. My boss the other day started laughing at me when I was waddling so slow...she just dropped her head and shook it. She can appreciate it though as she's a mother of three with twins. I don't even go on my walks anymore...it's too hard and I'm too tired. Whatcha gonna do? Don't worry about carrying low, baby has dropped or not, just take it as relief on your lungs.

We have only used Huggies. Not the huggies supremes but regular huggies. The cost is right, and I have never had a leak. They form great against zaids body and he has never had an irritation or rash, ever.

@vi my doctor doesnt say that either. i'll ask next week, we'll see what she'll say. all she says when i ask is if i'm measuring right, which i always am. Yesterday a co-worker said he's dropped, i asked how does she know, she said sher could. i don't know, i'll ask my doctor. I've been having pain down there too. I totally quit exercising because anything i do starts hurting, like yesterday i went to 3 places before work where i had to walk (ace hardware, walmart, cvs) and when i was at work it started to hurt, just because of that walking.

i don't think i'll be lucky enough to have this baby early. i have this feeling he'll come 3 days later, dunno why. i wish he'd come on my mom's birthday, i'd be 38 weeks then.

and OMG i'm on my 30 something days for the baby to go yay!!

Yay!

And even though I'm not a mom yet, I will say from having helped my best friend with diapers and all that pampers is definitely the best diaper out there, we don't have huggies in Brasil but also hear it's really good. I remember she tried other brands and ended up exchanging it all for pampers in the end, the difference in quality and durability (lack of leaks and all) was huge.

We tried a lot of brands of diapers and kept coming back to Pampers. We had a lot of coupons for Swaddlers sensitive so I got those and liked them. I didn't ever try the 7th generation diapers as they are not in our limited stores here, but I have had friends who really liked those too.

LOL about waddling like a penguin. When I was 7 months pregnant, we went to Florida to visit my mom. She took hubby and I to Sea World. In the penguin exhibit, I noticed hubby and mom chuckling about something and when I asked them, they said they were comparing me to those birds!!! Meanies!!!

Declan was 3 weeks early and, if I had a choice, I would rather have gone over than gone early. At the time, it was nice to have my boy a little early and I was definitely ready to be done being pregnant. However, we had such problems with nursing and the lactation consultants and nurses kept giving me articles on how even being 3 weeks early could affect that. Of course later on we found out my prolactin was low. The doctor doesn't know if that is why Declan struggled with nursing, or because he didn't nurse well, then my prolactin level went down.

You can always order diapers online if a particular brand isn't available in your area. I also liked the Walgreens supreme brand, though they run small. I bought size 4 recently and it barely fit Jona. The Costco ones are basically like Huggies Natural Fit, just cheaper, but the same.

I agree with Autumnchik, I wish Jona hadn't been 3 weeks early. We struggled with nursing in the beginning cause he was too weak to latch on. It all worked out and we are still nursing, but it was hard. And then that awful jaundice. Nay, I wish I had made it to 40 weeks rather.

Time flies, in 19 days we will fly to Germany, yeah!!! My parents bought a stroller for us to use there and take back as a travel stroller. We picked it and really like it... 8af6737637.jpg

Hey Ladies. Congrats to all the successful babyshowers. Hope you had a great time.

@Darkhorse: What a cutie. Your baby boy was born one day and two years after Adam. Enjoy those first couple of months, they grow up way to fast.

@MARM: I can't tell you. Insurance pays for almost everything. We didn't pay anything for our sons birth (c/s) and 25 Dollars for my daughters birth (vaginal) but I'm sure that bill was actually a LOT higher than that. Well baby visits and immunizations are free, sick visits or urgent care cost 12 Bucks a child.

@childress_london: Glad to see you had such good birth experiences. My friend had two very easy (if you can call it that :)) births too. Unfortunately most moms seem to experience 'horror' births though. I'm glad Allie was my VBAC baby, that kinda made me feel a lot better about me and my body after doubting myself for over a year for having that c/s but I guess it was necessary.

I didn't feel anything in my ####### ripping. I couldn't even have stopped pushing. When I watch those Baby story shows on TLC they have those women that don't want to push because of the pain when the head emerges (the ring of fire, as my doula called it) but - and I have to agree with Anna, even though Allie was 8+ lbs - the pushing is a piece of cake cause you can finally be active about something and at least channel all that pain into one spot instead of just taking it. I didn't even feel the episiotomy, I just wanted to push her out.

Adam had his 2year birthday party yesterday and after almost every mom from my playgroup cancelled on me, we still had a nice party. Not many people and luckily not many presents but it was fun.

Hmm...I wonder now if maybe my experience with the ripping feeling was actually unusual? I didn't really experience pain with the pushing. That's actually when my painful contractions stopped and pushing was a relief. It was just a shock to me to feel the ripping.

Why is it that the last 2 weeks of pregnancy are the most misreable! I just want to have this baby now, I am huge, tired and can't bend over to pick things up or put my socks on.

My living room looks like a wreck because we are putting new carpet into both the nursery and boy's room and all I want to do is have everything done now so I don't have to look at it anymore.
