I've never read it and I know it's not for me, but people who have read it insist that he does not advocate withholding feedings. The book is quite popular - a lot of people swear by it. From what I understand it gained popularity in church circles. The original version was full of bible references and sold its method as raising your children as the bible intended.

I know every situation is different but in my case Zaids colic (gassy stomach pains) made him think he was hungry. He would root and cry if he didnt have a bottle in his mouth every 25 mins and the more he ate, the worse it got. I definitly tried to schedule his feedings...never more than 2 hours apart if thats what he needed but I definitly didnt just feed him every time he acted hungry.

Well if baby is hungry every 2 hours and you feed every three hours, that's withholding a feeding Mr. Ezzo. He also advises on letting them cry til they vomit and to not hold babies too much as that is dangerous somehow. He hates slings and baby carriers and claims they hurt babies' spines... What a bozo. If you read more about his person, there are lots of scandals, lies, blackmail and so on. He's like a self-proclaimed guru. And yes, he's promoted in certain churches, but there are also many church leaders, pastors and experts that are Christians who speak clearly against Ezzo. Too many babies have suffered from apathy and failure to thrive because of that guy. Luckily nobody ever suggested a book or training method to me cause I'd give them an earful about all the research and recommendations of the AAP that speaks against such methods. *shudder*

It says he has no medical background. How dare he write a book about infant nutrition? And then have the audacity to promote this to obstetricians and pediatricians?? Having a kid who is a poor sleeper myself, I can see how some parents get frustrated and want to try different methods of helping their kids go to sleep. But refusing a NEWBORN to eat??? WTH? I hope someone is going to sue this idiot!

Ben started that around the same age. Then it went away for a few months, now he is in complete panic when I leave to go to the bathroom. He is ok when we go see people he knows like his grandparents, friends or our neighbour. But if neither hubby nor me is with him, he cries. Daycare is going to be fun tomorrow.

But I think it depends on each child's personality. Ben has been extremely attached to us and very cuddly from day one. He could sit on our lap all day long and say "hold youuu". Both hubby and I were the same way as babies and gave our parents hell with the seperation anxiety. I wonder if that's a genetic thing, haha.

I never identified a phase of separation anxiety, sometimes he's clingy, but I'm with him 99.99% of the time...

So he fits into a size 3T, omg. Granted, I have to fold over the sleeves once, but that's pretty normal whenever the next smaller size doesn't fit anymore. 2T pants got pretty short and the onesies don't close anymore. He is gowing still through a grwoth spurt and eating all the time. I found Stoneyfield organic whole milk yogurt (same brand as yobaby) at Krogers. Just that you buy 2 pounds of yogurt for $3.50. finally a whole milk yogurt for me too. I dislike low fat products, they taste horrible and don't give me enough calories (I don't want to have to eat all day long). He ate 1/3 of the container in no time!!!!

Oh and I finally know what Garanimals is, I never knew! But I think it's only cheap on sale, cause their normal prices are way more expensive than the Gymboree outlet!

i guess that's it. I'm surprised because neither charles or I give him rtoo much attention. that sounded bad, i meant Ben hs always been playing by himself in the same room that one of us is, and every now and then we go and play with him. But we rarely hold him, he doesn't even like to be held. i thought doing that he'd be independent.

Declan is still sick We thought he was better yesterday and he kept food down all day. So, this morning, hubby got up with him and Declan puked all over him. Hope he gets better soon, I hatre seeing him miserable.

Our daughter is Miss Independent and can sit over in a corner playing with a toy for more than 30 minutes. We were kind of shocked this week when she decided to start crying and throwing fits when Daddy dropped her off at the babysitter (who has watched the twins since they were 8 weeks old). My husband hates to see her crying and will go back to her (only making the situation worse).

Stef, dont feel bad. Zaid has been to the same in home daycare since he was 3 months and he cries every morning I drop him off. She always texts me and lets me know he calmed down but now I dont even walk in the house with him bc it makes it worse. I hold his hand to walk inside and I turn around and leave. I always give him a pep talk before we go and I know it bothers me more than it bothers him but it is so sad seeing his lip tremble as I drive out of the driveway.

Anna. How tall and heavy is Jona? 3t seems pretty big! lol Zaid is 30lbs and 36.5inches and fits in 24 months comfortably(his waist is so thin) and for jammies 2t are good
