Hi everyone! Staashi was nice enough to come over and hold a gun to my head invite me to this thread. (Staashi scares me). Anyway, some of you know me already, the rest of you should be thankful you don't :D . Pregnant with first baby, 40 years old (yes, I know, I know!), and in my 9th week.

So...hello!!!! (Please don't hurt me Staashi)

No! I embrace thee, Valerie! (See, I rhyme.) I was a high-risk pregnancy (was 35 years old). As I said in the Canadian forum - I hope you have a truly uneventful pregnancy.

Ha, I was reading this thinking this was the Commies thread.... and found myself totally confused. MENA girls don't post in the Commies thread? Nessa being from Brazil is a revelation? What? Did I walk through a wormhole or something?

But no, I'm just in the wrong thread. Carry on, ladies. Sorry for the intrusion :)

Is this your first ever post in the baby thread series? I'm thinking it is but I don't remember.

So far, completely uneventful. No morning sickness or anything. The only thing I really had was sore breasts, and they have felt almost normal the last couple of days (although they do seem a fair bit bigger - is it not a bit early for that?). It's almost like I am not pregnant, actually, these last couple of days. Hopefully that is a good thing.

Don't tell hubby I am doing this well, have been making him satisfy my weird (actually non-pregnancy related) cravings and occasionally looking at him and saying "YOU did this to me. I have SEVEN more months of this?"

 Work it for all it is worth. I, too, had a phenomenally uneventful pregnancy. I enjoyed it - until I was about 38 weeks and my hips stopped working. :P

I tell the first person in my family today. We are waiting to tell everyone until past the first tri, and had the amnio and everything is OK, but my sister and her boyfriend will be here today to visit. The second I do not have a drink when we go out tonight, my sister will know. So going to tell her before we hit the bar. And swear her to secrecy. She's going to be so excited! I'm the youngest in my family, her and my other sister's kids are all grown, most with kids of their own.

Hi everyone ...

I'm new here, my name is Jaime and I just stumbled across your thread.

My baby is officially 4 weeks old today =)

welcome and congrats

Hi everyone! Staashi was nice enough to come over and hold a gun to my head invite me to this thread. (Staashi scares me). Anyway, some of you know me already, the rest of you should be thankful you don't :D . Pregnant with first baby, 40 years old (yes, I know, I know!), and in my 9th week.

So...hello!!!! (Please don't hurt me Staashi)

hello :)

I forgot the update on Sebas feeding!

So remember he had trouble taking the bottle. He takes it now but will only drink between 1-2 oz, so here's what his feeding schedule looks like (all bottles are of pumped breastmilk):

4am- nurses

5am - nurses

7am - bottle (takes about 1-1.5 oz)

9am - bottle (takes about 1.5 - 2oz)

11am - nurses

1:30 pm bottle (takes about 1.5 - 2oz)

3:30 pm nurses

4:30 pm nurses

7 pm nurses

9pm nurses

1am nurses

Does this look good?

Maybe we should start a Latin America mommy thread

Saludos,

Caro

lol, at first i think Ben would never stay more than 1 hour away from my breasts. he cluster fed

AJ, change your name...I'm not calling you "w¡n9Nµ7 §£@¥€r" because I don't know what that would sound like, plus it's difficult to write :hehe:

Hey, people of the Big Baby Thread! Staashi forced us Canadians to participate here so here I am. :jest:

Today is our spawn's first birthday and the nice mom that I am I scheduled his one year check up for today as well. He's 18 lbs 11 oz, meaning he is in the TOP 3-4% for weight! Hahahah...well, he's healthy and happy. Just genetically on the thinner side!

I know there is a pair of twins on this forum so happy birthday, twins! :luv:

oh when I saw that pic of Zaid and once I got past the cuteness I totally hounded Kelly about the storage bins. I still haven't gone to the Aldi to get it though. I am going to go this weekend and hope they have it! Have we officially entered the world of dweebs where we get excited over stuff like this?? lol...
