I joined the forums at BabyCenter.com and it's insane! The threads and posts are very fast-paced so it's hard to get to know anyone--just faceless posts mostly of complaints and vents.

I was on babycenter during my pregnancy and really liked it, but only because I was part of two small groups. :) I did not enjoy posting in the thread with moms due the same month as me, but I know others have.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Hi everyone! I am at the library so I can check email ... just have a minute but I wanted to say hi. The meet-up with Stina was great! She and Sujeet are awesome and Kavi is a doll. Thanks for posting the pics, Stina :)

Wish we could have more Baby Corner meetups ... it was so much fun.

Have fun on your trip Vi!

We are going to Disney on Tuesday-Friday ....

We formed a small group of some 10 gals with the same due date and took it offline so that's kind of nice. But I think I'll find a smaller group--the August Birth Club has over 4000 members!

I feel the same way about not being a short order cook. Hana will eat just about ANYTHING. She has only refused cranberry sauce, baby cereal and scrambled eggs. Zak, on the other hand, has been my toddler for the past month. Some days he'll like something and the next he wants no part of it. He hates scrambled eggs and cereal too. He has gotten into throwing tantrums at dinner time, even when it is something he likes. I am of the mind if he is hungry, he will eat. It's not like I am trying to feed him something he doesn't like. Ignoring him and letting him get up if he acts up has seemed to work. The tantrums are becoming fewer. I am trying to teach him to say "more" if he wants more of something. I think that has been a small issue in what we are dealing with. He just said it to me yesterday.

I wasn't part of any group on babycenter. I only read for info and asked question when I had one.

About dessert, that's gonna be a problem with Ben because i eat dessert or something sweet, even if it's a littler bite of something sweet after most of my meals. on the other hand, i rarely eat out junk food like mcdonalds and i wont let Ben eat that more than maybe twice a month. actually i won't even introduce him to it anytime soon, if he doesn't know happy meals exist he won't ask for it.

Yeah that's what I mean about the birth clubs, so large! Before getting pregnant I was losing some weight so I stayed in a section for that with other women who were a lot like me. We all ended up pregnant eventually and those are the people I bonded with. I don't really go on babycenter anymore but I became friends with a few of the ladies on FB so we could stay in touch after going through so much similar stuff. :)

Kavi loves sweets. I let him have some in moderation.

Hi Mommies!!

I´m finally home, I´m super tired but so hapy to be with my family and friends. The goodbye with my hubby was pretty sad,I miss him already but I need this time for me plus the weather is so much nicer here.

The flight was, let´s say interesting, not horrible but not the greatest experience. I was lucky thta I was sittting next to a mom with her 9 year old daughter and they were like angels sent from heaven, great help and so caring with my little one. Sofia slept for about three hours and then she just played with the girl and kept me busy, I have to say that I´m exhausted.

My family went to the aiport and it was nice to see Sofia smiling at my mom and reaching for her as soon as she saw her ,I guess she recognizes her voice.

They are so happy to see Sofia,my parents keep holding her and spoiling her and I can have sometime for me

Girls I gotta go to take a nap before moe friends come to meet Sof, it´s so funny, it´s all about my little one..

talk to you later!!

Vi - I was thinking about you yesterday. I'm so glad you made it home safely. Have a super time...and yes, it's now all about Sofia.

lol...yes that is how it is now. I knock on my parents door and they whisk Eman in as the door slams in my face...happens almost every time...but now I do the same when my nephew comes over...it's the circle of life...lol...
