Happy Holidays everyone!!!

Nessa - Love the pic :) Ben is such a cutie.

Yay Caro that your boss was accomodating.

Thx Stef .... I am so glad I listened to my instinct and got Declan evaluated. At least, comprehension is not a problem (they said he was advanced there). I would be much more worried if he was having a hard time understanding.

Merry Christmas everybody. Enjoy it.

Adam got a Dinosaur and everything else didn't matter anymore. That dino has to go everywhere with him, even to pee and it pees too haha.

@Nessa: What a cute Santa pic. Ben looks like a little Mr. Happy Go Lucky.

@Vi: Yay for going to Peru. Hope the passport arrives soon.

As for us. We went on a little vacation for two days so we could do some serious sledding. Eric is here too now and Christmas eve was so much fun. We had Feuerzangenbowle (warm redwine with rum, sugar and spices) and went for some late night sledding after Santa came. We had white Christmas, how perfect is that. All together we had about 7 days of snow, not much but perfect for us since we never get snow in Texas and if we do then there are no hills for sledding haha.

The situation with my parents and Adam is still not better. It makes me so sad to see how they prefer Allie over him. They always send him away cause he's loud or winey. I can't wait to get back to TX and get back to our everyday routine.

Adam probably has a language issue too. It's still hard to understand him, he tries and it frustrates him. Allie on the other hand picks up superfast.

I'm thinking about what Sebastian will need when he starts day care. He will be there for 6 hours, and I will go during my lunch to nurse him (so that's one feeding already during the 6 hours). I'm thinking of sending him with 2 bottles of breast milk, one empty bottle, one bottle (the plastic sports water bottle kind) of boiled-cooled water and a case of powdered formula (last three are in case they need to give him some formula). Does this sound good?

Saludos,

Caro

Caro,

Im sure the day care will tell you what they want u to bring as far as things to stay there. I know the daycares I worked at each child was required to have 2 changes of clothes/diapers/wipes/etc always on hand. Idk how that day care works but in the nurserys I worked at we required the parents to bring premade bottles everyday. Maybe you could buy the premade ones and keep them there in case Sebas needed one, I know the 2 centers I worked we were not allowed to make the formula. Might be something to look into

Girls!

I'm so happy we went to get Sofia's passport today, we paid $60 for the expedite service so hopefully in 2 weeks I'll get it and I'll be able to tkts and leave as soon as possible, I'm posting a video on fb pretty soon, my hubby super surprised me this time but I gotta say thta I was the biggest pain in the #### the last 9 months about this trip, but it was all worth it, my whole family is in heaven. Soon I'll be asking some questions about the flight, I'll need some advice.

Vi, I'm so happy for you! can't wait to see the pics of little Sofia in Peru :)

Thanks!. I'm mainly thinking food right now, other items I'll be sure to ask them. I think this day care will mix it for you, but they can't wash the bottles/ nipples, and you have to provide the water. They even said that they provide "Good Start" formula for free, but if you want another formula you have to bring it yourself (I will get enfamil). Another rule that they have is that if you are bringing breast milk, you can't bring it in a storage bag - you have to bring the bottle already made.

How many bottles did you make for Zaid? 2 bottles of pumped breast milk should be plenty, but I want an extra bottle of formula in case something happens, and making an extra bottle to go to waste every day seems wasteful. or maybe instead of water and powdered formula, I can have the ready to feed single serving can that they can open and pour in case of an emergency.

OR maybe I'm just a looney overthinking it :D

Saludos,

Caro
