I had been taking organic liquid vitamins before having the babies. I checked them out with my OB and she said I could keep on them. I cut out caffeine until I hit about 18 weeks. For about 6 weeks, I got soooooooooo exhausted I could barely function. I had to have some caffeine to make it through the work day. It was then I decided to go back on my liquid B vitamins (I could care less what the docs had to say, I couldn't function). Within a day I felt like a new woman and didn't have to call Hana and Zak parasites anymore! I was diligent about folic acid. I read cereal boxes. Life cereal has 100% of the RDA, one of the few cereals that is. So, I would eat it every morning. My mom has full-blown spina bifoda and I wanted to ensure my two didn't.

Anyone have a kid with wide feet and suggestions for shoes? Zak has super wide feet and finding shoes for him is next to impossible! We went out today and had no luck!

Twila, which one did you take? What brand? My energy levels are in the toilet and I need something.

Vi and Stef. I hope u guys get some sleep soon. Stef I cant imagine how Ben functions during the day at school. Zaid sleeps 12 hours a night and he is still crabby and ready for a nap by 1pm. Hope that trend ends soon. Are you still bf Ben? How do you even wean a baby off a breast? I mean with the bottles u just make them disappear but the boobies are a lil hard :) I feel for ya girl, I can hardly manage work and school with a full night sleep  Poor Poor Stef <3

Caro, Sebas is beautiful.

Maybe I read that wrong but can a vitamin B deficiency have an affect on mood?

Caro - Love the pic, Sebas is adorable!!!

So, is everyone ready for the holidays? It was my birthday last Saturday and, since my mom is in town visiting, we got to go away to a hotel for the night and actually have a DATE!!!! We live in such a small town, so we timed my bday getaway with a trip to a bigger city to finish Xmas shopping. I cannot wait to see Declan open his presents!

chnst: I'm not so sure Ben's sleeping problems are related to nursing - sure, Jona slept through the night once we nightweaned, but SIL nightweaned my niece at 16 months and she didn't sleep through the night til age 2. And my sister was formula fed and wouldn't sleep through the night til nearly 3 I think. Does he still have GI issues?

@ caro: How cute! Just as chubby as Jona - people said the same thing, like omg he's as big as you! :D

Thanks Kelly for the idea of going to Payless. Hana and Zak are still in infant shoes, but they had wide sizes and now Ziko has some shoes! It's been cool here in FL and they take off their socks as soon as you put them on, unless they have their shoes on.

Someone commented about the B vitamin deficiency. I am sure it must affect mood as well. All I know is I would come home when I was 20 weeks pregnant and sleep for 5 hours. Then my husband would wake me up so I could eat and then I would go and sleep for another 6 hours. This is coming from a person who has a hard time sleeping more than 7 hours total! I was convinced I must have had mono. I asked the high risk doctor if it was normal to be THAT exhausted. He laughed and told me it was totally normal for carrying twins. I seriously had to take a day off work to sleep the day before we had an evening open house. Everyone at work was laughing at me. :( Once I got back on the B vitamins, I felt normal again. If you check those energy shots you see at the conveinence stores, they are all made up of B vitamins. They really are liquid energy.

I am getting excited to see what Hana and Zak think of Christmas! Only a few more days!

So, we had Declan evaluated today because I have felt that he is delayed in expressive language. Well, a mommy's instincts were on target ... because the evaluator did find that he is a little bit delayed in that area. Interestingly, he is advanced in language comprehension. They said that his numerous ear infections plus even the hospital stay when he was a baby could have contributed to his expressive language delay. So glad that I trusted myself instead of listening to lots of other people, who all told me that it was because he was a boy or not to worry because he understands everything. I am glad that his comprehension is excellent, but I want him to use more words .... so he will start speech therapy.
