Congrats and welcome to Team B AND J and Ravensque :D

When I joined I didnt bother going back and reading the whole thread. Sisters here are very nice and would answer all questions over n over again.

Well its been a whiiiiile since i ve been here. Zaine is 10 weeks now, We have good days and veryyyyy bad days!! for some reason he still pushes so hard everytime he wants to poop or pass gas he cries and gets pretty fussy about it. This can last hours until something actually comes out!! the Dr. is clueless saying eevrything seems normal so I dont know what to do! I cry about it every now and then and I just deal with it *sigh*

we re leaving next saturday to Vegas to visit my inlaws we re excited they will meet him for the first time, it should be fun. I bought Moby wrap and I love it! I think it is excellent for flying, but we ll see how it goes!

That's good--I read up to page 79 and gave up, lol. But from what I read so far, I took notes and bookmarked links as favorites. Thanks, everyone, for contributing to this thread! I look forward to reading your updates with your newborn/toddler.

Hubby has one "important" question!: At one point during pregnancy do you stop having sex?

maybe im a bad mom and i dont pay attention, but i've never noticed a change of behavior on Ben when he was teething. he has been sleeping all night since forever, there was like 3 times he woke me up in the middle of the night, but i change his diaper and he goes right back to sleep.

I don't call that being a bad mom...my sister-in-law was/is the same way with my nephew. He doesn't show any changes in behavior...

Really? What about during the third trimester when the baby's head is in the pelvis? He and I are worried the thrusting might hurt the baby's head?

Girl, you got a LONG way to go till you get to that point. You'll stop when you finally feel like a beached whale - or maybe not.:whistle::thumbs:

It's not gonna hurt baby's head, even with engaged baby, there still is the cervix, and before someone bumps baby's head, you'll feel if your cervix is hit (it's gonna hurt!!!). You might not feel like it at all anyways. I wouldn't know, I wasn't allowed to do squat from 32 weeks on, cause of preterm labor. Sperm contains prostaglandins that ripen the cervix and that's the last thing you want in preterm labor. However, if you are like 10 days past due date, the same thing might help bringing on labor :P

The baby's head is still too high up in your pelvis for a ####### to reach (at least until advanced labor)...so tell your husband not to flatter himself :P:lol:

Like Anna said, unless you have a condition that contraindicates it, you are good to dtd until your water breaks...there's several strong muscular layers and liquid protecting the baby, so he may feel a rocking motion but nothing beyond that. Besides, during the third trimester the prostaglandins in the semen will help soften the cervix and get you ready for labor...don't be surprised if at that point you start using your hubby to try to induce labor

Saludos,

Caro

@ Marina: Good advice in there. C-section for no good reason was my nightmare so I read a lot about it. Having a doula and midwife helps greatly! Just yesterday I was at the doc's office and had to wait forever so I read magazines. Fit Pregnancy had a good article about the tremendously high section rate in the US... One obgyn actually mentioned how today's obgyn attend very little vaginal births and just don't know how to deliver a baby normally, but know how to perform a csection. They said the knowledge is lost... That made me shiver, yikes! Friends of mine in Montana travel to nearby states for VBACS cause Montana outlaws it! Crazy! A woman should be able to get the birth she wants, whether it's natural, an epidural, with a midwife, at home, at the hospital, an elective csection - there should be no laws prohibiting one or the other!!! Ohh my pet peeve.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

I'm kinda glad my monkeys will be close in age. If I can survive two, having a third in a couple of years will be no problem. We don't need to try to get pregnant. My husband just needs to look me in the eye and *BAM* I'm fertilized.

 LOL

congratulations on the pregnancy!!

I am really REALLY worried about dealing with 2 kids too. As you guys know, Ben has been the worst sleeper from day 1- he is 20 months old now and STILL wakes up every 20 minutes. Well, he slept from 9:30-12:30 last night, 3 hours is what he sleeps in a good night. But usually I have to get up about 18 times and he ends up in our bed, where he still wakes up. His pediatrician thinks it is completely normal. :bonk: I can only hope that by the time we have number 2 he will sleep at least 4-6 hours/night.

@Vi: About the cereal. I don't really think it's gonna work if Sofia is already on solids and waking up anyways. allie eats more than me and STILL she wakes up at night. It's not a hunger issue here but rather a comfort thing. She knows I'm there and she wants to nurse. After that she goes back down with no problem.

I met my friend's little girl yesterday and was sad to hear that she had stopped breastfeeding. Baby was born at 2900gr (41 weeks) and supposedly fed only every four hours which seemed odd to me since mine were born with 1000gr more birth weight and still nursing every hour or so. So after a few weeks mom got into the formula/nursing circle and took the formula way out. The little baby started rooting on me and I asked mom if she wanted to nurse her and she said that she just gave her the bottle...I don't know if you feed formula on demand or not but me as a nursing mom...I would have definetely unpacked everything right there and nursed. Anywho...the little girl is cute as a button with big ol eyes and one dimple :luv: . So precious. She now weighs 4800gr at 2 months which is still very cute, considering Adam was born at 4025gr.

What else??? I'm suprised at how fast Adam picks up German. He can say a lot now and Allie's little vocabulary is almost completely German with the exception of 'juice', 'no' and 'night night' she can say quite a few words in German.
