Hi Mommies

Just came back from the Dr's appointment and Sofia is doing great. She got two shots, the second dosis of the flu and the HIb, She is taking anap right now  .

I got a question for you girls, we put the baby to sleeps around 9.30pm but she keeps waking up several time for milk (at least 4 times). I'm thinking about pumpimg some milk and mixing it with cereal and making my hubby to give it to her 'cause I'm sure she will refuse to take it from me you think it will work? the last time she wakes up is around 1am and then she goes to sleep until 8am that is great for me, is just in the beginning that is not consistent. Any advice???

Hey everyone -

I've never posted here, but I post sporadically in the Canada Forum.

My kid is now 11 months and um...I'm pregnant again. They will be 18 months apart.

I can't really wrap my head around how I'm going to deal with twice the diaper changes and twice the crying! When one cries does the other one follow?

It'll be fun, I know, but man I'm just in shock and awe right now.

Help!

Welcome Team J and B and Ravenesque!! Congrats!

Team J and B: This forum is usually busy but we have been a little slow lately. Eveline would be the best person for advice on handling two. She is a pro. She is on vacay now, though.

I haven't said hi here in awhile...hi!! Congrats to all the newly pregnant!

Kavi will be 2 on Feb 1st already! As most of you know, I stay home with him. Well I also do a little bit of making things to sell on Etsy and that gives me some extra pocket $. But sometimes I wish I had more of a break. Not to go to work, but like I wish a set of his grandparents were nearby to take him sometimes to play for a couple hours. But none live nearby.

And he still wakes up during the night, many nights per week. Because of that, I can't imagine having another baby soon. Isn't he supposed to sleep better by now? :( I probably sound stressed out. I'm usually not stressed too much, but it's not easy as you all know. I tried a toddler morning group recently because I was invited to it by a friend. The friend didn't show up even though she said she would, two weeks in a row, and I didn't feel comfortable so I haven't gone again. Maybe I will try it one more time for Kavi's sake, if my friend is actually really going to go. We will see.

I feel your pain! My 14 month old has several nights a week that he wakes up also. I also happen to be 5 months pregnant. I told my husband that I don't know what I will do if he doesn't stop this before the new baby gets here. I would have a full time night shift job with the two of them. That wouldn't sit very well with my day job though. :(

Congratulations! My babies will be 18 months apart also. I got pregnant when my baby was 11 months old. I am thinking of all the same things as you are right now! It still hasn't sank in yet and I'm half way through my pregnancy.

Each child is different. Eman, who is almost 3, still has nights where he will wake up. My nephew, on the other hand, slept through the night since birth. It will eventually get better...once they are off to college! lol I feel like I would be more comfortable with a playgroup comprised with VJ friends. I recently went to one and didn't feel like I fit in. I know it was supposed to be for the kiddos but it didn't feel right to me.

Stina: not having anyone around for support is tough. I suggest leaving him him with Suj for a couple of hours while you go do something. Can that friend take him for an hour or two and than you can care for her baby some other time?

Nizzy, yeah that's how I felt at the toddler thing! Besides, no one tried making conversation with me! Only the lady in charge was nice to me. I thought that was very bizarre. Thanks for the encouragement. :) Thankfully, I do once in awhile leave Kavi with Suj to go shopping, like on a weekend. As for my friend, I would trust her with Kavi but she has two of her own, and she is hard to actually get in touch with(and doesn't do what she says she will in regards to plans, etc lol). We do have a couple other people I am closer to but they are my parents' age and haven't offered to watch Kavi and I don't want to ask or impose. I know there will be a solution at some point, I'm just not yet sure what it is. :)

Wow...congrats to all the new preggos. Glad to see that this thread won't be dying anytime soon.

I was scared to find out how much work two kids would be. It was tough in the beginning when you have to find a routine but baby #2 kinda got pushed right into your 'regular' everyday shedule.

My kids are 17 months apart and luckily we never had any jealousy issues. The tough part was figuring out when to go to bed in the evening. It took me a while to find a pattern but it worked somehow. They never really cried together and now that they are older I think it's great to have them so close togehter (Adam is now 2years and 9 months and Allie is 1 year and 4 months old). They are completely different though..temper wise. Adam is really laid back and never hit, screamed or threw a whole lot of fits. He was also a picture book attachment parenting baby (he still is as a todder, he's my snuggler and kisser) while Allie prefers to be alone in her bed, never wanted to be carried but rather be pushed in a stroller. She's also throwing fits left and right, screaming, flopping on her back, hitting etc...totally differnt and I have no idea how to handle her.

I think ´- right now - Allie's behaviour is because there are four adults here and she's trying out how far she can go. I feel like my parents are trying to take over which drives me nuts. I will go and pick her up when she cries and I will also make Adam a bread if he doesn't want his rice. I give him two or three choices and he has to choose rather than the old school 'you eat what I give you'. While my mom is ok with it, my dad is just shaking his head and so is my brother (who does't have kids).

anyho...enough of the complaining. It's late here...I gotta go to bed...

Happy pregnancy everybody and enjoy your little ones.
