Still no luck on figuring out fucky. Although he said it much less yesterday. I wanted to take Zaid to breakfast with santa but am thinking we will skip it. Im such a germ-a-phob and a place like that is probably filled with every kind of germ and virus I can think of. Hopefully next year there isnt a massive flu pandemic around xmas time.

@Charles&Nessa: he is so cute! Can't believe how big he is getting! Ben weighs just 28lbs and he is 19 months old lol.

@Caro: yeah I think with the next baby I will be facing the same problems. I am hoping I can keep my supply up so I can bf at night and bottlefeed during the day. the only comforting thing is that nowadays they have adapted formula quality so well it is very close to breastmilk. not the same but, I don't think that bottle fed children are disadvantaged in their development.

Depending on how soon we will have the next baby I hope to be able to stay home at least 4-6 months, work part time and have someone come to our house to watch the kids.

@Kelly: lol fucky, I really wonder what he is trying to say. Ben is obsessed with body parts lately and he will repeat boobie, hiney, ####### over and over and over.:wacko: I think they really sense it when they say something inappropriate and that gets them going. we try to ignore it and not laugh.

@ Nessa: Very cute! :)

@ chnst: NY state has laws to protect the pumping mama. My boss in NYC was provided with a clean room with a recliner and was allowed to pump every 3 hours and store it in the company fridge. The time was not subtracted from her lunch break nor did she get a pay cut.

With the next baby we will do the daily bottle of pumped milk provided by daddy. With Jona we did it sporadically which is why he started to refuse it eventually. I just think DH enjoyed feeding him every once in a while and it was nice to watch.

Nessa and Ben, you outta be proud. Ben is sooo cute! The time sure is flying!

Yes, the "fucky" is funny. Zaid is just like Ben. He says boobs and butt and "doodle" for #######. He even says "aeeb" which means shameful in arabic everytime I change my clothes when hes around. guess he is just reminding me that he isnt a baby any more and I need to be cautious showing my "girl parts" around him He is a goof.

We had an eventful day. 3 of us went out for breakfast, then walked around toys r us for an hour. Went to the puppy store to show zaid the puppies (no were not getting one! lol) then made homemade christmas cookies. Zaid frosted and sprinkled his lil heart out. It was so cute. Hes eating some turkey and cheese then im hoping for a nap bc I have a gazillion presents to wrap.

I was thinking about breastfeeding the baby - I didn't have the best opportunity to with the twins, Jonathan was rushed off to another hospital's NICU to have surgery there and Joseph was incubated in the NICU. They offered me the pump but I was a complete trainwreck and after some tries with the thing with no luck I just told the nurses to give them formula because I wanted them to eat. They were preemies and teensy weensy.

Luis also says that I have to

So, here's my question: is it really that hard to pump at work? I have a relatively non-stressful job, and I work for the government so I doubt they would have a problem with it. Since I'm having a c-section I'll be home for 8 weeks then Luis will be with the baby until I get home at 2:30 every day so he'll have to bottle feed her during the day. I want to give it a shot at least this time.

Vi ~ I'm sorry your friend left! :( I know you're in the city but we can get together sometime and take the kiddies to the museum or something :D . I love going into the city, Luis & I are going to spend our anniversary having dinner in Little Italy and seeing the tree at Rockefeller Center. It's only about a 45min - 1 hr trainride into Penn Station.

Nessa ~ I (L) Ben's little Santa slippers, they're the cutest.

Zaids Mommy ~ my son Joseph used to call his ####### his "peanuts" when he was smaller... it took me a while to figure out what the heck he was talking about (with the baby jibberish and all) and then one time he just grabbed himself down there and yelled "PEANUTS" at me. It was hysterical!

@ Nessa - Adorable!!! Love the slippers!

@ Susita - Congrats on the girl :)

Thanks guys for the idea about the Doodle Pro ... I am going to get one for Declan. And can I just say ... EVERYTHING is made in China. Driving me nuts, especially since the lead scare .... it seems like everything I find in stores is made there!

We took Declan to Santa's Village yesterday. Had a great time riding rides. There was snow on the ground which made it magical and so much like being at the North Pole. Declan did not like Santa. He sat on Mrs. Claus's lap, but when it was time to see Santa, he was afraid.

@ Nizzy - Declan hates hats too. He threw his hat on the ground so many times yesterday. And the stinker can figure out how to get every hat off ... even the ones that strap under his chin or the balaclava like ones that cover most of his head and face.

lol...nice to know I am not the only one struggling with that. He kind of understands why he has to put it on but still whines as soon as I get it out. I even had him pick one out, thinking maybe than he will wear it...but it didn't work...
