@ nadine: How cute! And he already made it to Paris! :) Jona only made it to Thueringen :jest: Hey your DH is in LA with the AF, are you guys doing missile stuff?

@ Eric: I'm glad you guys are better! It wasn't bad for us either!

@ Evi: I'm surprised too since they ordered so much of that stuff. But Allie cannot have the mist, it's not approved for under 2 year olds and especially not recommended if she has respiratory issues. What are her issues? Maybe in case you can have some Oscillicum (spelling....) on hand? In Germany there isn't really much of a shortage in case you want to get it there, but you gotta be careful to get the unadjuvated shot. Cause they have the shots with squalene approved in Europe.

Jona has a runny nose but is doing fine otherwise. He is very confused about this, it's his first runny nose ever. My runny nose turned into a sinus infection which I sooooo hate. It hurts so much - like my cheek is exploding, I hate that! I'd rather have a flu than this.

Anya: I started showing around 20 weeks with my first. At 23 weeks it was pretty visible for everybody and from 26 weeks on I wasn't able to hide the bump anymore.

So I called the pedi and she just called me back regarding the blood levels. For iron she's at a 10.3 so that's not too bad. I don't know how you measure it and she also mentioned a 30? @Chnst: What was the 30 for???

She said that any lead-test with no findings comes back at a 3 right away and Allie's was a 3 and is considered "no findings".

30 means 30% and it relates to the Hematocrit. It is usually 3 times the amount of the hemoglobin. Both parameters can tell whether a person is anemic. Some doctors look at the Hb, some look at the Hematocrit but the lab usually gives you both values. Same difference.

LOL to your bad mommy award. haha. Ben shared his lolipop with my MIL's rotten cat and he has tried catfood before...

Oh and he fell off the bed the other day backwards and hit his head on the hardwood floor while I was laying on the bed right next to him ! I tickled him and he jerked and laughed and fell all in a milisecond and it was my fault. bad mommy. baaad mommy.

swine flu: do they have clinics in your area? There are a lot of schools in our area that have H1N1 clinics on the weekends. My neighbors son just had his vaccine, and they even had leftover vaccines at the end of the day.

My MIL is taking Ben to have his seasonal flu shot today at her doctors office. They break it down in 2 doses. I am a little nervous but I just don't want him to get sick.

@Jenn: I LOVE the new pic. Baby Adam is such a cutie. He looks like a doll.

@Nane: Thank you for the update. Your lil man is already a toddler, time flies by.

@All Stonyfield regulars. I just saw thta you can go to www.mystonyfieldrewards.com and get an account. Then enter the codes that are printed on the lids of the yoghurt/milk etc. and get points. From 25 points on you can get rewards such as coupons for free Annie's homegrown stuff etc. I don't remember it all now but I just bought a bunch of 3in1 meals for the kids yesterday and I'm going to try to get my fingers on some free stuff gg.

@ Nane - Such a cutie!

@ Jenn - LOVE the new pic of Adam, he is precious :)

@ Chnst - Our area hospital offers an H1N1 clinic (the local doctors offices don't seem to have enough of the vaccine).

So, I have been reading what has been written about babies being tested for lead and iron. Is that something that happens at a routine doctor's appt. or does it only occur in special cases. My son has not had those tests, to my knowledge.

Our pedi does it as a routine check. Maybe you can ask at your next visit.

@Tracy: Congratulations, happy pregnancy. Enjoy it.
