Wow.. seems like everybody 'is' different.. big differece too!

@ Nessa.. Bumgenius is what I looked at (bought the whole trial package for my friend's baby shower and she likes it) And I know that there's actually this lining thing that you can buy and use it to capture poop and just flush the whole thing away - leaving only wet diaper to be wash.. I havnt search those I just heard about it.

my husband thought it'd be the old fashion cloth diaper that's why he said he's not going to use it.. well I dont care.. he can help me do some other thing and I can take care of the changing :) But i'm sure he'll come around when the baby is here.

@ Anya: I started showing around 24 weeks. Cloth diapers... The cheapest option are prefolds, pinned with a Snappi (no pins necessary!) with diaper covers (Dappi, Proraps are the cheapest). Little Lions has very cheap seconds that are really nice.

Nessa's Bumgenius are really nice, but really pricey too. We started using pocket diapers in August. I bought most of them on Ebay - go check Coolababy - they are nicely done and work really well. They are one size diapers and you adjust the size from small-medium-large with snap settings. They come with a microfiber insert. And pocket diapers dry way faster than all in one diapers which are also available. The market for cloth diapers is endless. There are soooo many options! And they are soooo cute.

Most daycares should accept pocket diapers as they are just like Pampers, you just don't throw them away but wash them.

There are washable and flushable diaper liners - as long as baby doesn't eat solids I wouldn't even worry about rinsing the diaper! Only solid food poop gets rinsed and dunked in the toilet in our house :D

I mostly stuck with the prefolds and Snappie system. It's more work but you get used to it. I just love all the cute covers they make for them (also for fitted diapers and pocket diapers). I don't think your hsuband has any reason not to want to change diaper. But you are right, most of the time you will be the one who does it. I don't remember the last time my husband has changed a diaper.

well, he will have to chanhge the baby eventually. what if you want to take a nap and the baby needs a diaper change. he can do it. i'm in charge of changing Ben's diapers, but whenever Charles needs to do it he does it. what if you want to go somewhere and leave the baby with him.

I guess I am lucky. My husband has no problem with most aspects of baby care. Then again, he was the oldest child in his family and his youngest sister is 15 years younger. He took care of her a lot when she was little as his dad passed and his mom became sick when she was young.

Zak was too cute today. He kept crawling over to me and giving me raspberries on my leg!

The "Bad Mommy Award" definetely goes to me today.

1st: Allie ate catlitter out of the box

2nd: Allie drank Burt's Bees Bug Repellent (Adam somehow got the top twisted off)

3rd: Allie fell of the couch and I held her by her ankle, twisting it in some weird way. Luckily nothing happened.

Here's to hoping that tomorrow will be better.

Glad to see y'all are ok. Swine flu is my biggest concern right now. I'm actually considering the vax for Allie since she seems to have some issues with her lungs/rhespiratory system. I called the ped today and they said the only vax (actually the mist) available is about two hours away from here and there are no shots available for Allie right now. I didn't think they were THAT short of shots. I just hope we make it to Germany without getting sick. I gotta stock up on sani wipes.
