@ Anya: That's fine. If you want more U/S you can ask for it. But the only one that's really necessary is at 18-22 weeks, pref at 20 weeks (and you can refuse that too) to see if baby has any issues. I won't do more than that the next pregnancy.

If you want to do an amnio or the 1st trimester screening (for down syndrome) you need an u/s, but I refuse all those tests anyway as it wouldn't change my mind about my pregnancy.

I totally agree with Evi about presents. Jona wouldn't care anyways, he is way too young to understand. When I buy toys, I really like maukilo.com and moolka.com. Great educational and fun toys, all non-toxic and mostly plastic free (so no guessing about BPA, phtalates, lead paint etc)... Great places! Maukilo always has the steal of the day, it's pretty super cheap!

I had one ultrasound at 20 weeks and that was it. I didnt want anymore.

Nessa, Zaid had all those little shape toys. Every last one of em. Kohls had all those on sale last year the day after thanksgiving and they were dirt cheap.

I have been looking around for a Montessori school to get Zaid into next year and YIPEE i FOUND ONE. It starts at 2 years old but they said we can get him in at 22 months. Its 8500$ a year for full time not including meals. For me its worth it. he is not getting what he needs at day care. They kinda just play around with toys all day and he is soooo bored. I cant wait til february to get him enrolled.

Nessa if I were you I'd go with the Little People music parade ride on. It's got music and stuff plus it has a back support to help keep them from falling off backwards.

Jenn, in looking back at my journal, we had a four-hour stretch one morning two weeks after Rayan was born, although that was unusual. I am pretty sure he was sleeping four to six hours at a stretch regularly at night by the time I went back to work at eight weeks. These days, he will sleep eight or more hours at a time, although I cosleep with him a lot, so it's possible he's waking up and nursing without my knowledge sometimes. It seems like there's a large variation between babies, but I think you'll be getting that four hours before much longer. Good luck.

how is that possible?

Sometimes I fall asleep nursing him on the bed, and we end up sleeping face to face. A couple of times, I woke up in the morning to find him nursing. Maybe I helped him latch on, but I wasn't awake enough to know it.

I'm the USC.

Sofia is getting toys this X-mas, which ones? don't ask me, she is definitely getting a phone 'cause she is so in love with phones, whenever somebody calls she looks at me and always wants me to put her on speaker, daddy calls all the time to talk to her and the face she makes is priceless :star: .

About u/s when had one every month, and we got to make videos of every visit, now I look at them and feel so unreal thta my baby is here btw, she is standing by her own.

Girls this Friday we are going for Sofia's first portrait session at JCP, any advice, to be honest I didn't check prices but do some of you have an idea about prices?

Vi, if u go to JCPenneys website they have coupons u can print out. We stick with the 3.99 per sheet and get about 100 pictures for 50 bucks or so. The only down side is u have to wait like a week to get your pictures back. for the price its soo worth it tho

@Anya: If you thought that was a lot of poking…wait until you’re in labor lol

1 U/S is what is necessary if everything progresses without problems. You can always get the 3d/4d if you are eager to see your LO

Drink lots of water for the nausea! That’s the only thing that helped me – and I tried it all, including Zofran!

@Vi: We’re having our portrait taken on Saturday at JCP!!

@Nessa: I love developmental toys!

Saludos,

Caro

I had an U/S every three days - that was lots of fun! Not!!! FYI - wait and see how your pregnancy plays out. Hopefully it is incedent free, but you never know - you might be like myself and need to get a fetal biophysical profile every so often.
