OMG Chrissy. Molly is such a precious little baby. I would totally steal her away so keep a close eye on her. Dylan has become a handsome young man, I love their dimples :). How is he doing? Is he being a good big brother?

Chrissy - Your babies are so cute!!! Love the new pics :)

Well, Declan has been having sleeping problems for a while now .... waking up several times during the night. We tried so many different things. Finally, I had the thought that he moves around quite a bit in his crib and often I find him with his head pressed against the bars. I think that has been what has been waking him up. So we moved him to a low double futon we have, with pillows on the floor just in case he rolls. It has been amazing! He sleeps through the night now. We have one side against the wall and he never even moves to the center of the bed. I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner.

Molly is such a cute baby!! :luv:

Sebas started smiling, but I can't get a picture because as soon as I get the camera out he starts looking at the camera with his serious "I'm trying to figure out what this is" look

I'll have my next obgyn checkup at the end of the month and it's time to think of birth control. Because we had a csection we plan on waiting a few years before we try for another baby, so I'm thinking about getting the mirena iud. what's your take on bc after a baby?

Caro@ Welcome back Caro, that was a super fast trip, I'm sure your family love o have you back home  . I have a question, when you mentioned the "crib" do you mean a real crib??? is it just for tiny babies or you think it can fit a 1 year old baby?

Thanks! everyone was delighted to see us, we got so spoiled!

I found some pictures of the basinet

thats a good idea. Ben is moving around a lot too. I wonder if this is the problem. He falls out of our bed when I let him sleep in there and we took the mattress out of his crib to put next to us and he falls off of it too.... I just don't feel like buying a futon though. Maybe I'll try pillows tonight. Another thing that's a little weird- he takes maybe 1-2 hour naps at home, but he slept more than 4 hours at the dasy care yesterday! I can't believe that. They say that around 10 am he gets his blankie and asks to go to his crib! He was still passed out cold yesterday when I picked him up at 2pm.

@Anya: hope you feel better!

To the mommies with toddlers. We bought Zaid the little tikes Cozy Coupe car and HE LOVES IT. He has been soooo bored and cranky because all he wanted was outside. well so far this car has solved our problems. He rides it all around the house and doesnt even wanna get out of it. Might be a good Xmas suggestion for your little ones

@Nessa: next time you travel, ask about it - I'm sure the plane they use for Brazil is the same as the one for BA. I wouldn't count on getting the bassinet, but if you do it is a nice thing to have.

Caro@ Thank you much for posting those pics, it was great, thank you!. Wich airline did you use to go to Aegentina?

We always travel American. Tons of direct flights to BA and good prices + always leaves on time :)

Saludos,

Caro

Adam is an outside kid too, that's why we have mostly outside toys and not much inside. He got a little radio flyer metal car, was a handmedown and Adam loves it and also we got him a balance bike which he just loooves to ride. I pull up in the garage, let Adam out the car and first thing he grabs his bike and rides down the street on it. It was 90 dollars very very very well spent.

to all the Mommies: one of my biggest night mares came true today... Hubby was changing Ben while he was eating cereal and all of a sudden he started to choke, and couldn't breathe. I was upstairs when it happened and there is usually nothing that can faze my husband. When I heard him scream I knew something was wrong and as I was flying down the stairs I heard him yell that Ben is choking.

He had him flipped over when I got to his room and he wasn't breathing. I am never going to forget the panicked look in his eyes. We slapped him on the back but nothing came out and then did the Heimlich while Ben was turning white and still struggling to breathe. He finally started to throw up while Chuck was calling 911 and then coughed and thank God, the tiny piece of cereal came out and he took a breath and started to cry.

He was eating the fiber one caramel squares, I would have never thought that he could choke on them. They are tiny little squares, maybe the size of my thumbnail and smaller than the cinnamon cereal squares. I think this is the problem- they are too small to bite if he puts a couple in his mouth, but too big to go down his thorat unchewed.

Just writing to let you know that kids can choke on things you would never expect. We are so happy that he is fine, after he threw up he was coughing up 2 or 3 pieces and they were intact. But it also could have ended much worse.

I have seen 2 toddlers arrive to the ER dead from choking, one of them inhaled a piece of a latex balloon and the other one choked on a piece of hot dog. My friends' son choked on a noodle this summer, she is a pediatric ER nurse (we went to school together) and there was nothing they could do to get it out. Choking is one of the worst things, because it happens so fast and if you can't get it out, help is always going to be at your house too late.

We are so happy that Ben is fine. I just wanted to share this with you guys as you all have small children too.
