@chnst: i think it's wrong. if i had money i'd want to fly first class, not in a tiny seat with a baby on my lap for almost 12 hours. If someone else has a problem with it, they can always wear an earplug, that's what I do when i fly, cuz I can't sleep with noise.

@vi: can you put the baby in a car seat in the airplane? do you plan on buying a ticket just for you? if you go by yourself, why do u need 4 pieces of luggage? can'r you put the carseat on top of the stroller? as for carrying, the best thing would probably be wear the baby, so u can have 2 hands free.

that is a good point, but we are all good mommies who care about our kids. If you have money you can also have your nanny hold your kids on her lap in the economy class  . haha, but seriously, when I went to Germany in August, I had a family with 2 small kids next to me and they completely ignored them screaming and there was so little room, I ended up with one kid elbowing me the entire time and right before we finally got there, he threw up on me- breastmilk... I now can relate to the resentment some people have towards mothers and children on airplanes.

I love the pictures, he is the cutest little man! The outfit is so adorable!!

@Vi: you have to check in your carseat if you buy a lap-ticket for Sofia, they will not allow it on board. If you book a seperate seat for Sofia, you will have to bring the carseat on board. If she is less than 24lbs you can get a bassinet seat (most airplanes have these, they put them on the wall in front of your seat) and she can sleep in there.

Be aware that some airplanes do not allow to gate-check strollers anymore. I had to carry Ben (27lbs), my 100lbs carry on suitcase, diaper bag and keep track of the tickets, passports, sippy cups, pacifiers.... It was a complete nightmare, especially in Paris, we had to climb stairs, run 3 miles to get our connection to Germany... And my stroller got squished because I didn't know I had to check it and they threw tons of suitcases on top of it.

Passports: I think we paid somewhere around $100 for Ben's and it only took 2 weeks until we got it back in the mail.

@Kelly: yeah, I am addicted now. They didn't want my baby bjoern, and the summer clothes but they told me to come back in the spring and they will take it. I can't believe I got 4 sweaters, 1 pair of shoes, 1 snowsuit, and 2 pair babylegs for $50.... and I walked out with $13 cash. haha. some of the stuff I find quite expensive though, like safety gates, or exersaucers. I saw them cheaper at Marshalls, brandnew.

Nessa@ Yes,we can bring her car seat, at least that's how some of my mommy friends travel wih their babies and it seams that works very well for them. I said 4 pieces of luggage because I have to bring a big bag that my mom left when she stayed with us, she didn't want to pay extra money for the overweight. I guess I will have to wear the baby, let's see if she fith in the baby Bjorn then.

The new pics of Ben are great, he has beatifu big eyes, is he looking more than you or Charles???

Our closest OUAC is near where my parents live. So, I save up the clothing and bring it with me when I go to visit them. I have gotten about $20 every time I visit and I end buying all sorts of stuff there. I wish we had one closer.

It has finally cooled down from 90+ temps to a high of 70 today! Yay! I can break out some different outfits for Hana and Zak to wear. It is to be short lived though. It is supposed to be in the high 80's by next weekend.

I agree Stef about the gates and what not. Also, my OUAC over here has tons of pacis, cups, puzzles, brand new things that are soo high priced. we try to stick to clothes and shoes. I did buy Zaids walker there when he was little for 8$ so I guess that wasnt a bad idea!

@ NEssa: Exactly my dream: I would so fly first class cause it makes it easier. You got your little cocoon, baby in his carseat in his own cocoon, good food, ROOM, a nicer bathroom.... I was sort of shocked that United doesn't allow anyone below 12 years in first class. I know Lufthansa and Air France don't have restrictions.... If it weren't for that price.....

I do agree that some parents don't pay attention to their poor kiddos... On a red eye from SFO to Charlotte a couple years ago I had a 3 year old kicking me happily all night long and the mom couldn't care less... But that happens whether you fly first, business or economy.... :( What I think always though is: poor kiddos with those kind of parents!

Hm UOAC is sort of expensive here I think. You get new outfits cheaper at Ross or TJMaxx than the used stuff there???!!! Is that just our store here or the general rule? Their maternity clothes however are super cheapo.
