@Nessa: How long is the flight to brazil. Maybe you'll be able to go without a change all together.

Caro@ How much did you pay to get Sebas passport in 24 hrs? and good luck in you trip!

Chnst@ We go to the one on Central Ave (Yonkers), I used to go to the one in Union Square, close to my job.

tngirl@Congrats mommy to be!!! I started getting baby freebies right after my first doctor's appointment, not a big deal, they sent you some diapers, coupons for formula, creams, the only "big gift" is a diaper bag with bottles, creams, magazines, and formula coupons from Enfamil. We still getting the Parents magazine and Bbay Talk.

I have a subscription to parents magazine. I can recommend it, although I don't get to read much "fun" stuff lately. I am not a big fan of all these magazines and books that tell you how to do it. The only one I like is the Dr. Sears Baby Book, it covers pretty much anything. We bought a sleep book but I think it is a waste of money, everything in there is pretty much common sense stuff. and he still isn't sleeping, lol.

My doctor gave me a few vitamin samples, and I got some more stuff at the motherhood maternity store too!

@tngirl: haha, I remember how strange and panicked I felt when I found out I was pregnant... It is very normal.

@Anna: what is a snowbib? I went through Ben's closet today and found a brandnew Puma coat, we bought it at Marshalls at the end of the season for $10 It was $70 originally. It fits him perfect! so I guess that problem is solved :star:

I hope our plane will have a changing table, I think with an international flight there's a good chance it will. I'll get puppy training pads. The flight to BA is also 11 hours :)

Caro@ How much did you pay to get Sebas passport in 24 hrs? and good luck in you trip!

We paid $359 + $120 government fee. We used https://www.rushmypassport.com. They were very good with both Sebas and Justin's passport processing.

Caro

aaahhh. they call them snow pants/snow suit here, but I don't know if that is an upstate NY thing.

if in doubt, I say "bridges" and the hillbillies understand.

Hahahaha...Stef. My MIL always says "Bridges" for pants :)

EDIT: JC Penney also sells snowbibs for around 20 Dollars. I guess I"ll buy some for the kids in Germany. I'm not willing to spend much money here.

@ Evi: Hahaha just recently Dh explained to me why people in country songs call it bridges instead of pants :D

@ caro: Flying will be fine... My flight was about 12h to FRA and Jona was fine. He slept a lot. He nursed a lot but never had problems with his ears as people feared... On the way back at the check in the lady rebooked my seat to economy plus with 3 empty seats right next to me so we could build a bed for him (MIL was on the plane as well, just in first class and dropped by every once in a while, btw United doesn't allow infants in first!!!). I only met people on the plane who were delighted with him, there were no nasty looks (but there were in the waiting/boarding area, very rude people!).

ok this is something you may disagree with, but I don't think it's wrong that there are no infants/small kids allowed in first/business class. You have to pay so much for your ticket to end up next to a screaming kid for hours, whose mother doesn't care. I would be upset.

I went to Once upon a child today and I love the place!! They gave me $13 for a couple outfits Ben never used, and I probably spend $50, but I got some really nice stuff, most of it brandnew. I bought a landsend snow suit for $10, it still has the tags on. I really wish it was closer to my house...

hey you guys, how did u stop breastfeeding? Ben was only taking the breast in the morning when it had a decent amount of milk, then last week i had to give him a bottle right after, he wasn't taking for long. last time i gave him the breast was tuesday morning, then i pumped 3 times, then i pumped once wednesday morning and didn't pump anymore. what is it that i have to do? is it ok if i just leave it alone? i know that my breast has some milk in it, it's not engorged or anything. do i have to pump?

Girls how do you travel with your babies? do you bring a car seat? 'cause I have the option to sit her on my lap but no way she will stay quiet for 8hrs, the only good thing is that we always fly direct and the flight is from 11.30pm - 6am, all night so I'm sure she will be sleeping. If I go by myself I have no idea of how I'm going to manage to bring the car seat, push the stroller and push the cart with 4 pieces of luggage.

Caro@ I checked the prices to get the passport in 24hrs and OMG, IT'S REALLY EXPENISIVE!!! Yesterday my hubby was asking about details of how to get Sofia's passport (there is hope!)

Nessa: As long as you are not engorged (my DH HATES that word gg) you should be fine. I wouldn't do anything. Adam went from nursing three times to zero and I never had any issues after weaning. I never pumped etc. Just feed him formula and you should be good to go.
